The Wizard comes home!

Nice to see some progress there already :) I actually bought a NOS marquee from QA recently too (Kickman) and it took me over an hour to get that front paper off. I guess after 30-odd years, that glue wants to STICK!!!

After picking at it for 10 minutes, I dunked it in warm water and it came off alot quicker!

Well, I decided to do it! Today I bought a wizard of Wor cab that has been converted to a Relief Pitcher. The cabinet was not cut to accomodate the big dumb control panel, so that is good! The monitor is in nice shape, with just a bit of Ghosts and Goblins burn. The paint on the sides would have been nice, but the genius who coverted it decided 20 screws weren't enough, and glued the sides of the control panel to the cab as well! Just as well I suppose, now I will do it up right. Found a dime and a nickle in the bottom, so that will help with the $500 I will be spending on boards, harness, cp, marquee, art and everything else to return the mighty wizard to fighting form!

Let me know if you need a bezel glass. I have one that's flaking but it's better than nothing.

I love to get parts in the mail!!! This is the contents of 4 boxes that have arrived in the last week.

Sadly, I have to do some bondo work to replace abit of the cab that was hacked off by the nitwit who converted it. Hopefully It'll be done to my satisfaction later today, and I can return to the more fun part of the deconversion: electronics and artwork!

Newbie here, so be kind - apologies in advance for poor etiquette. What did you do with the Relief Pitcher controls, etc? What condition are they in?

BTW - Your WOW looks awesome - coming along nicely!

A friend took all the controls, I still have the board and marquee though...

Thanks for the reply. I have a nice marquee - and 2 boards. My Relief Pitcher is a conversion (in an old Defender cab), but I was looking for some extras of those groovy red/yellow/green buttons. Keep us updated on the Wizard...
