Well, I decided to do it! Today I bought a wizard of Wor cab that has been converted to a Relief Pitcher. The cabinet was not cut to accomodate the big dumb control panel, so that is good! The monitor is in nice shape, with just a bit of Ghosts and Goblins burn. The paint on the sides would have been nice, but the genius who coverted it decided 20 screws weren't enough, and glued the sides of the control panel to the cab as well! Just as well I suppose, now I will do it up right. Found a dime and a nickle in the bottom, so that will help with the $500 I will be spending on boards, harness, cp, marquee, art and everything else to return the mighty wizard to fighting form!

I have a decent WOW control panel, but I would recommend you find someone willing to part out a complete cabinet..

Can't even imagine taking on a project like that.. How hard did you look for a complete one?

I have a guy on here selling me most of what I need. It's worth it to me, and a fun project! I have been looking everywhere within 500 miles of me for several years, nothing.

I have two of them, one I plugged in and it's not working but everything is there and complete. Pretty sure it's the boards I would sell it to you for a couple hund if that helps? But I won't part it out. shipping would cost you probably 300 or so from my experience.

Thanks alot for the offer, but I'm going to see this project through...

Usually on conversions, they would just run the AC from the brick into the switcher. Probably made for a quicker conversion.

Let me know what you need for parts, I have a second cabinet I've been hoarding parts for to restore. I love my Wiz, second game I bought & my favorite game from yesteryears.

At the moment it has been stripped of all the Relief Pitcher parts, holes filled, painted correct shade of white and waiting for 3 shipments of parts to show up!

It's starting to look like a Wizard! Got the coin door painted yesterday, and the NOS marquee came in from QuarterArcade today. Took awhile to get the paper off the front and it has a few scratches on the back, but all in all...pretty damn cool!

Nice to see some progress there already :) I actually bought a NOS marquee from QA recently too (Kickman) and it took me over an hour to get that front paper off. I guess after 30-odd years, that glue wants to STICK!!!
