from the article:
This is essentially a digital download model similar to Zen's games, where four tables are available initially, and new ones, like Medieval Madness and Bride of Pinbot, can be added for a small fee. But the four pack of starting tables aren't too shabby at all. You have Tales of the Arabian Nights, which first appeared in the Williams' Pinball Hall of Fame and features an Aladdin-style theme (but without the Disney touch, obviously); Ripley's Believe It Or Not, which features weird acts galore (like a psychic dog) as you shoot ramps and a large tiki head; Black Hole, a Stern classic where you have an upper and a lower playfield and plenty of targets; and Theatre of Magic, a spellbinding table where all sorts of magic awaits you, including a trunk that holds plenty of secrets.
As you might have guessed, the collection features picks from Bally, Williams, Stern and Gottlieb, so that leaves the future wide open for selections. And Farsight has already promised a wealth of new tables, including a few fan favorites for good measure. But, for the time being, we're quite pleased with the introductory model put into place here.
sooooooo pumped to play RBION!!! love that pin. and i've never played TOM before, so i'm really looking forward to that one as well.
TOTAN is great, but it was on the williams HOF collection, so that'll probably get the least amount of play initially from me. and black hole was on the gottlieb collection, but that was just for the original xbox/ps2 and the virtual pinball wasn't NEARLY as good as the later williams HOF game, so it'll be cool to play that one again.
on xbox, it's 800 points to download ($10). the "details" screen lists future games as:
- monster bash
- medieval madness
- creature from the black lagoon
- funhouse
- attack from mars
- black knight
- space shuttle
- pinbot
- circus voltaire
- big shot
along with "many more to come."
figured i'd give y'all the heads up....i just happened to stumble across an article online about it. i knew there was a new game rumored to be coming out, but it sure didn't get much press!!
anyway, enjoy!!
