Hey everyone. I am looking to add another pin to the collection. Budget is around 900. Looking for something with some staying power. My short list is as follows:
-Pinbot
-Highspeed
-F-14
-Black Hole (worries me due to seeming unreliability)
-Super Mario Bros. (Def above my price point, but I would love to get my hands on one)

I know everyone will say to play them, but that doesn't seem possible. I have messed with these in PINMAME. Any other titles I should consider?

All depends on availability. In my area I am very limited as to what is out there so what I want and what's available are two completely different things. There are a lot of data east games you could add to the list that you could get for around that price point. F-14 is a fun game with tons of action on it. I would recommend that one for sure.

Demolition man, and Dr who come to mind. Both are awesome and both can be had for around 1k.

From that list I'd go with High Speed or F-14...edge to High Speed. Both fast, fun Steve Ritchie games. Can't go wrong. Pinbot, while cool, gets old/boring quicker.

All things being equal (IE in comparable condition), what RareHero said. After those two, Pinbot, and the other two are a toss-up really.

How far from Waterloo Ny are you? I have a few of those on your list here if you wanted to come play em.

I'm on Long Island. I think about 5 hours. Thanks for the offer. I am definitely leaning towards F-14 or High Speed. I just don't want it to get to repetitive as I only have one other machine and I don't have that much variety. Any other suggestions?

What title is your current machine?
I personally believe variety is the key to a succesful collection. If your current game is stop and go, then find a title with flow instead. You'll also find a lot of similiarity between titles made from the same designer. So for instance if you have a Lawlor title, find a Popaduik or Ritchie title to add that extra variety.

Pinbot has been my favorite pin since the day I originally played it new. Perhaps I'm easily amused, but I've never found it boring. I'd be very happy with that or F-14.

I enjoy playing a lot of the sys11 stuff, had f14 the shortest amount of time (1 month) followed by high speed (2years) and am finally putting the pinbot up fs. All are great games but Pinbot to me was the deeper rule set with planet progression where the others were earn multi ball and repeat type pins.

You can drive 25 minutes to Mastic ,I have an f-14 you can play.If you are around this weekend pm me.

What pin or pins do you have now? Maybe you want to mix it up by getting a pin with different features and a contrasting theme?

As far as what I currently have, I just (like this morning) sold my Williams Flash and I have a Mr and Mrs Pacman pin that I am working on. I want something a little more complex as I found Flash to gt a little boring, and I'm sure Pacman isn't that deep, but its good for the many younger family members that visit my house frequently. So a more adult (not saying adult like xxx, but not childish) theme is what I am really looking for. From what I have seen, it seems like pinbot could get repetative, no? At this point I am leaning towards F-14 and High Speed, slightly more towards F-14. Unless someone has some other cool ideas.
