the unofficial "who has a journey arcade game?" thread

You gave up too easily! :)

When I got my cabinet it was completely empty! YOU CAN DO IT. You have the hardest part already. That cassette interface board is not easy to find.

PCB: Talk to CD JUMP
Harness: Find any MCR game harness. Modify it as needed. The wiring diagram in the manual is GREAT.
Cassette player: Any 6V cassette player will work. The bracket can just be an L-bracket from the hardware store. Looks and works fine.
Artwork: Rich @ this old game makes this
Control panel: Takeman repro'd this
Joystick: Any 4-way midway stick is correct (Burgertime, Domino Man, etc. Red shaft

I believe brother, I believe...............I am not giving up that quick. My dad always said never to be a quitter. :)

I would love to have it ALL original as possible. What you think the chances are of finding all the parts since I do have the cassette interface board already? I also spoke with DPtwiz, he now has all of Takemans repro control panels for the Journey, and is willing to sell me one. Cool.

I will keep trying to find a lender for an original cassette deck metal bracket as well to repro and make sure I save you one.

The JOURNEY never ends..........................

Just curious as to what a complete original Journey unrestored and/or restored is worth?

That looks like a sweet raid, grab the Journey asap & I think I see a Juno First behind the baseball game & grab all the other goodies now!!!!

I've been assigned the job of repairing and selling 2 warehouses full of games and pinballs. Everything is for sale.

What all is in this kit you have? Probably I can't afford it, but that might get me closer to achieving the goal of having the game myself. :D

Tim

I have the pcb, bulletproofed by cdjump, original working cassette interface pcb, original tape player NOS, repro harness, power brick, coin bucket, coin bucket holder with screws and nuts, monitor bezel and plexi with bracets, cabinet wheels, cabinet rear hand grip plastics, original working power supply, joystick, buttons, and a bunch of other items I cant remember off the top of my head.

It wont go cheap, thats for sure, and I would be certain to sell as a full kit, not separating.
