The Ultimate Arcade Games Quiz

I sucked. 20/50. Apparently my dislike of fighting games, as well as my unfamiliarity with most games released after 1985, led to my doom.

I didn't like that the "answer key" doesn't show, so I can check to see what I missed...

Should be an answer key at the end... But I didn't see the link either. Sitting next to the GameSpy dudes and they said they'd check it out :)

I ended up with 26/50...the Gauntlet question is kind of a trick question though...the correct answer (I assume, since there was no answer key I don't know for sure) was the default setting, but since health per coin was operator adjustable, all of them were possible.

27 out of 50. Some questions like virtua fighter I had no clue on, and several questions were very obvious.

I got 22 right.

Most of the games mentioned are from my generation (90s), but a lot of the questions were lame. Who cares or even remembers bosses/characters names in gun games or shmups? I don't think that knowing the gang name from Virtua Cop shows that you know your "arcade history." The question about which SFII boss kept their original name when the game released in the U.S. was valid because that actually has to do with development and history. But I applaud them for taking the time to think up all of those questions.
