What are your opinions?

Is this list basically the same for most pin heads or does it vary drastically?

I'm just curious as I own 0 pinball machines.

I havnt played as many as most I'm sure, but this is my list.
1. The Addams family
2. Simpsons pinball party
3. Ac/dc
4. STNG
5. T2 <=== probably won't make anyone else's list but at the time I was a huge t2 fan and it's very nostalgic to just see pics of it.

Are these mostly for them being challenging games or just fun to play?

What makes a great pinball game?

Fast?

Hard?

Many layers?

Different then all the others?

For me with every game or pin its just the fun factor.

Well everyone has their favorites but you could justifiably say that the top most loved pinball machines are those with the top sales/production.

Choose your own 5... That site has about 33k members who voted doesn't mean the list is correct as it certainly isn't for me. But my top 5 are definitely on that top 100 list as I'm sure majority of most peoples are. Budget also might be something to consider. you can get a 1500 game or a 15000 game. Price doesn't necessarily make a game better than the other but quality does come into play. Condition is another thing to consider if your doing preliminary research about purchasing a pin.

How has no one mentioned Twilight Zone yet?!

Twilight Zone and Addams Family are definitely on my list. Whirlwind would probably make an appearance. Not sure about the other two. I'll get back to you.

According to the way I rated them at Pinside, my top 5 are:

1. Monster Bash
2. Tron
3. Medieval Madness
4. The Addams Family
5. Lord of the Rings

That's probably pretty close though 2 and 3 might be interchangeable.

Such a hard question to answer without letting someones own personal opinion just picking 5 games (the ones the own, the only ones that they have played, etc.)

Here are some lists of top pins:

http://www.treasure-cove.net/TOP50.htm

http://pinside.com/pinball/top-100

http://www.pinballspot.com/web/top-ten-list-best-pinball-games/

http://www.ipdb.org/lists.cgi?anonymously=true&list=top300

The above lists all have MM (Medieval Madness) and TZ (Twilight Zone) in the top 5. Two of the list have AFM (Attack from Mars), STTNG (Star Trek TNG), MB (Monster Bash), TAF (Addams Family), etc. etc

1. Midieval Madness
2. Tron (yes, I'm biased)
3. LOTR
4. TSPP
5. Tales of the Arabian Nights

Honorable mention, the Joust 2 player vs. pin.
