The time has come for Vs Super Xevious

hmmm....interesting. So are you making a kit or something? Was this game not released before?

There are MAME rom downloads, available for this game. It was a 1982 release, re-released in 1986 for the Vs system. I believe it was Japanese only. I've been in contact with blkdog7, about this game and we are both going to try and give it a go. I'll keep you Ninty fans posted!

Actually, from a quick look I think it may use the same board as rbi, tko, etc. Each of those boards has a seperate protection chip on it though.

Wouldn't it make more sense to use the Sky Kid board? They are both NAMCO games. And, the chip names match.

Take a better look at the other board. 2 Custom NAMCO chips.

Also, look at the title screens for RBI and TKO. Notice they say NAMCO on them as well?

ORLY! Oops!

For some reason I just blocked it out of my mind RBI and TKO were NAMCO.

2600 brought up a good point, that I was planning on telling John: Use the RBI board. Same ppu used. Meh, it's worth a shot!

Course, why waste a good RBI board, when TKO sucks ass! :)

I mean, seriously, how cool is it going to be when John makes that video that goes something like:

"Hear WE are, in the BASEment, and I'm friggin excited, cause I got this wicked awesome game to work!" (Insert voice cracks, when applicable!) ;)

RBI boards are everywhere..i think i have a few John if you dont have an extra. I think this is a cool thing to bring back an old game, but DAM that game sucks ass

EDIT: actually i have never played "super" before ...but regular sucks..i guess i should check it out first :)

Is Super Xevious even a good game? I don't know. I'm all for collecting, but I'd say half the games on the Vs. system are not even worth buying or having.

But if you have the extra boards and chips and the tools to do it, good luck and post a video when you've figured it out. :)
