...but the names have been changed.

A long time ago (over 25 years ago) in a galaxy far far far far far away a man closed down his arcades and put all of his games in tractor trailers, locked the doors and parked these trailers on his family's farm where they were forgotten to all but "legend."

This is a short photo story of some of those trailers and a barn...

The door was stuck at 12 inches so someone had to crawl through...

Let's see, its 2 in the stink and one in the pink...

One last breath before we enter...

Geez, is that a motorcycle wheel?

Someone found gold!

More to come...

Mine. MINE! MINE? Nope, not today.

Here's the "sack tug." None of these are presently for sale - the guy won't budge. We tried and tried...and tried! These belong to his brother whom the guy we talked to is deathly afraid to talk to. Hopefully, we'll get him to budge and bring some of these back to life.

There are games all over this farm, behind every tree, under every barn, in open trailers, closed traliers, trailers that have fallen over and been left open.

Here's what we could account for:

Final Lap
2 Tempests
Centepede
2 Trons
Gyrus
Lots of Asteroids
Q*bert
Galaga
Galaxian
3 Battlezones
Star Wars
Bad Dudes
2 Atari race games
Several shuffle bowls
2 crain games
Dig Dug
2 confirmed Pinballs
20 + Pinball heads
Boot Hill
Pole Position
Rampage
Many we cant identify
Lots of old mechanicals
Change machines (Is there $$ in them?)
Several Juke Boxes

I'm guessing around 125 games plus cabinets in the trailer, barn and a couple open trailers left to rot in the elements.

Boo Hoo!

That may be the saddest thing I have ever seen!! I really HOPE the guy does budge and he realizes the "history" he has buried on his property...
For someone like me, who is trying to get an "Arcade Game & Pinball Musuem" going in Sacramento, that is a HARD post for me to look at :-(

Good Luck in convincing the guy to let you AT LEAST take out some of the ones that can be revived!

True

Good luck getting them to budge... I guess they want to wait for them to go up in value?

I think he wants gold for them. I offered him $50.00 a game untested - empty cabinets not included. That may seem low but ALL of these games have been exposed to the elements as the barn and trailers have open holes and you can see where animals have been in there. The games in the barn have a lot of poo on the tarps covering them. The games by the open door of this truck have animal nests in the change boxes. The games in the other open trailers are dead or near death...

Tell that joker to "grow a sack" and make his brother sell them to you.

Those games can't be any worse than what we found in Nocashvalue's warehouse.

damn man another case of "ill hold onto it forever and it will be worth more" syndrome...

too bad, theres alot of games in there that would be good at least for parts if the cabs were bad..... good luck!! i hope you can snag em!!

I just want Star Wars and Tempest....and maybe a Tron...and High Speed pinball ... and q*bert....maybe Dig Dug, definitely Gyrus oh, and there's one of those Atari football games that tears your hands up. I need that. An Asteroids would be cool too. All the others I would just resell, except for a Galaxian and Centipede. I need those too. A Boot Hill would be cool too, just for giggles....

Geez, an instant arcade. I need to go beat this guy up.

Uhh just keep them all. :p

Oh, wow... that's a really neat find there. Like you said, that is pretty much an instant arcade.

Got any more pictures to share? This is really sad but kind of cool at the same time!

No more pics. The guy was kinda leery about us to begin with. I'm going back up in a few weeks. I'll try to get some pics then. It's almost a 4 hour rive one way...

so what was your total offer then? I say give em a grand and take all and walk... hell.. think how many truck loads , 8 hrs each trip , that will all take..

You'll have a grand into moving them...

but the story and pics are cool...

This guy isn't a collector waiting for the value to go up; he's just simply a hoarder. Someone who cared would've already restored some of them or parted them out or sold them to someone who would. People like that suck. I hate to sound negative but I'd be willing to bet you'll never get one of those games. I hope you do, though. Good luck.

There was games in open barns and all over.....but you only have pics of the truck? WTF is wrong with you....we want a full run down. Now, go back there, ask the guy for a cup of coffee at the kitchen table, then go Norman Bates on him.

While he's out take more pics of the remainder of the loot.

$50 a piece was a gift, a very fair offer, especially with the resell price of classics now. Then consider the amount of work moving, cleaning, troubleshooting, then attempting to advertise and sell them.....from recent experience, not a big money maker for you. Good luck with this deal, warehouse raids are always exciting but a helluva lot of work!

yeah, 50 a piece for a few but you are going to be sorting through water logged cabs and parts for months is it really worth the trouble at that price?
i would say 50 for vectors and 25 for everything else

Good luck prying those out of an old greedy ops cold dead hands. Cool if u get them but I wouldn't hold my breath especially if he wasn't even the guy that owned them. The way I would leave it is here's my offer and here's my phone # and walk away. If they wanna get rid of them they will call. If they wait like 2yrs to call say hey my offer is only half now of what it was before cuz they had no intention of selling from the begining and now they need money so they will take anything. I wish you the best and my advise if you go back or do end up getting them get a nice respirator good work gloves and a spray bottle with bleach and water!
