So, thanks to Mudhens, he hooks up me and Jpopson with a stash of games from a guy in columbus. Like all game hauls, it goes downhill very quickly LOL! First, the idiots at Uhaul. I reserve a truck 2 miles from where the games are. Get there, and they inform me my truck is another 15 miles south at a different location.
We arrive 45 minutes late, and we assume the games are at spot 1, and we have to pick up the last 5 in Johnstown, Ohio, NE of columbus. Well, 2 games are at dude's house, 4 are at the storage unit, 2 are at his buddies daughter's house, and the last 5 (supposedly complete games) are at the johnstown location.
Pretty much every game was missing 1/2 or more of it's parts, complete games (NOT ONE!) were missing tons of parts, and out of 13 machine, MAYBE 2 salvageable cabinets. the rest, burnpile. Interestingly enough, all 3 of the people we met put pc's and Xboxes in arcade games, and cut, hack, and pitch all the original parts. So, we did end up with a pile of boardsets, AR2's, 3 good monitors, and some midway linears.
I wish i would have taken a picture of the pole position cockpit cut in half, and getting STRETCHED into a 2 player side by side racer, i shit you not! Overall, pretty dissapointing. The highlight for me, was looking in the bottom of space duel to find Amplifone boards!
We haven't decided what we are parting, what we are going to make a new cab for and sell, etc, we will have that worked out sunday, and start parting out most of this stuff the way it looks. Anyways, here's the pics of the carnage!
