The big rumor is that Stern is going to unveil Star Wars on May the 4th.

If that's true, my next pin is either going to be Star Wars or Elvira 3. Star Wars may just get the edge since Elvira is probably still over a year out (plus I'm a Star Wars geek).

I just played Aerosmith and Batman '66 for the first time yesterday, and the LCD is a pretty cool addition, and I can see them doing cool stuff with it with this particular theme (Death Star trench run, anybody?). I'm really hoping they go with hand-drawn artwork for this one.

I think it would be cool to have the choice to play from either side of The Force, though I doubt Disney would allow it.

What would you guys like to see?

I'd love to see a $4500 Pro model. :)

Other than that I'd like to see it based on the first three movies with "young" characters. I don't mean to sound like an old fart but the first three movies are the only Star Wars this guy will ever recognize as Star Wars movies.

My budget is completely and utterly blown for 2017 so I'm hoping all the bugs and software updates will be completed by 1st or 2nd quarter of 2018 so I get a complete and bug free game. :D

Crap. Couldn't have happened at a worse time financially. But I will own a premium model. Will likely involve me selling my HUO Tron. Arg.

Jar Jar pin please.....

So lets say this does happen...are we expecting the prices of the LE's to go through the roof?

I'd really LOVE to be able to get the top of the line version of this one, but if it's something that the price won't skyrocket on, I would consider getting a cheaper version and then upgrading later.

I'd expect pricing to be similar to Aerosmith, since this will have a big production run.

I didn't keep up with Aerosmith, let alone resale value.

$6k for pro, $8k for premium, and $9k for LE? WTF! It's some wood with a few electronic gizmos...

welcome to the new reality of pinball. Aerosmith probably has no established resale value as it just recently was released. I think its first with the larger lcd display. I have not played one yet, but it looks interesting.

I just hope a new star wars is not going to be more than that..

I would have thought early in the morning. I called a distributor to reserve an LE if it was announced. But he had not heard anything from stern.

Batman 66 was the first with the color lcd.

Also there was something on pinside about there not being an announcement today for starwars.

Stern is just terrible with timing. Release pins well after movie release dates, promise code 'soon' etc etc. I'm glad they are around doing what they do urn but eesh. So many missed opportunities from a marketing standpoint.

The 40th anniversary of the original movie is coming up in a few weeks. Perhaps they'll do it then.

Either way, this game is the worst-kept secret in all of pinball. It's Stern's next pin. It's just a waiting game at this point.

I was originally on the Elvira 3 train, but I feel a disturbance in the force, as it were. I think it'll be Star Wars; and probably a Premium model if the bells and whistles look good. (I'm not an LE guy, and probably never will be. I'm not paying an exclusivity tax for a game with an identical playfield).

The rumors of a SW announcement were just idiots on pinside making stuff up hoping it would happen. SW is coming, they have non need to rush it, AS is still too new. They drop 2-3/year. It does not matter when they announce, it will sell on theme regardless.

Yeah, it was wishful thinking, but in their defense, all signs point to this game being pretty much ready to go. Check out this little goof that a Pinsider discovered:

Bumping up the hype thread because the rumor mill is saying that LE's should begin shipping in the next week or so, with Premiums going on the line shortly thereafter.

I'm really hoping to have my Premium in the house at some point in August, but my gut says September.

Either way, I'm looking forward to playing a Pro at CAX... but I'm REALLY hoping they'll have an LE there. You've got 6 days, Stern. Make it happen!
