Fellow Simpson's owners,What color is the molding on your cabinet?? I have black on mine but am going to be going with yellow. Anyone here have something on theirs besides yellow or black? Curious to see other color combos.

I restored my Simpsons cabinet, and while black is the factory color, I used yellow. Fellow KLOVer Zenomorph was the first I saw use yellow with his Simpsons and I thought it looked good so I made the change.

I never knew factory color was black, was yours textured? Mine is and I hate it. I have always seen it in yellow in the wild so it must have been something the operators re-did. It only looks right edged in yellow to me for some reason. You know what else would maybe look good if it were made? A darker shade of the teal used on the sideart. Speaking of yours looks fresh,is that new? Mine is all scratched and gouged at the bottom on both sides but I just can't justify spending $190 on a set.

I can't recall if the t-molding that was on there was textured, but I would bet it was. My X-Men cab has black, textured t-molding so chances are the Simpsons originally had it too. That teal color would look interesting, but I wonder how much it would blend in and not make the cabinet "pop." My side art is new courtesy of gameongrafix. When I bought it the cab had been converted and covered in marble contact paper. The original Simpsons side art was there but not salvageable. :(

I was wondering how the simpsons art looked from gameon, and I am impressed. Very nice job!

Thanks! I ended up having them print up a different scan of the art from what was on their website. I found theirs was a bit too small when you looked at the size of the characters and the Simpsons logo. The scan I ended up using is pretty close in size (maybe a bit bigger) and looks nice. Considering it was my only option, I can't complain. It is missing some copyright text near the bottom, but no biggie.

Unfortunately I don't know of any free play hacks. I never understood why Konami didn't have free play for most of their 90's beat 'em ups. :(
