Hi,

The last time I played my Simpsons PCB, I noticed that I had to turn the red pot on my supergun all the way to max to get the display to look right on my TV. I've just gone back to the game after leaving it alone for about a year, and now I don't get any red signal out of it at all. It seems like either a resistor may have blown or the board just needs cleaning - I'm not sure where to start with fixing the problem. Has anyone else had an issue like this before?

I have the same issue with a med res monitor. The guys told me I should rejuv the tube to see what I would come up with. All of my readings for the red transistor came up with nothing. Im also going to recap the chassis to see what happens. It needs it anyways.

IIRC, that game has 3 hybrids on the outputs for colors. Check the outputs for activity and check the traces between them and the JAMMA edge connector for breaks.

Unfortunately I'm a total noob when it comes to things like this. What are hybrids? The board has 3 things that look like giant resistors with a K symbol on top, I don't know if those are turnable for colour adjustment or if they're for something else completely. What tools would I need to check the outputs?

Also, thanks for the schematics, I did get a manual with my (Japanese) board but sadly I'm no good at reading them and the board looks nothing like the schematics at all so I'm lost there.
