The saddest looking Simpsons cabinet you'll see this week
So every once in a while my fiance and I go down to the last surviving roller skating rink in the area. Besides Roller Skating, the place also has a small Arcade, decent selection of games in good shape considering the place is in a really bad neighborhood. Off the top of my head they have 4 Player Wrestlefest and X-Men machines, Contra, Ms. Pac, Super Off Road, an Addams Family pin that needs some cosmetic work but plays fine, and a Terminator 2 pin in great shape. Then there's this monstrosity, which makes me sad every time I look at it. That second picture is not even from my crappy quality cell phone camera I used to take pictures with, the entire monitor literally only display the picture in a greenish yellow hue.
Was this at one point an actual cabinet, or is this just something someone just frankenstein this thing in a workshop? I can't even imagine 4 people playing on this machine comfortably, even if it was in better shape. It's too bad, no one ever plays any of the games, except for me and even I only play a few rounds on the Addams Family pin. I've often pondered whether or not this place would let the Terminator and Addams Family pins go ad a reasonable price, assuming the guy who owns the business also owns the machines, which I think he does, maybe someday I'll have it in me to ask, but in the mean time all I can do is sulk at the sight of this thing.
