The Post Pictures Of Old Tax Stamps Thread

So, what's with the plexi over these. To keep someone from stealing the sticker? Was the plexi required by law?

There's no plexi. It's not a sticker it's a thin metal plate that was screwed into the cabinet. I have another one from my Tankers. Looks like Night Driver had a longer life in the arcade. It lasted until 83 Tankers only until 78.

Haha the South Dakota one looks like it was designed on Microsoft word. I wonder if any of these are "repro" I wouldn't be surprised if some of the old operators engaged in shenanigans.

The stickers I posted were unpeeled under the plexi. Maybe the operator did it so they could easily transfer the tag to a different game. I'm sure they weren't doing it to preserve the side art.

Sales Tax Stamp!
I don't know why it cracks me up....as though anyone is going to care about that $0.25 breakdown.

Star Castle came with this tax stamp from South Carolina in 1983-1984 for $100.00.

Saw this thread the other day and thought it was pretty cool. Went and did a pickup later in the day and one of the machines had a sticker, not super old, but still cool.
