The post-CAX "Now I want a ____" thread

I don't really want one, but it was fun to try and figure out Bull Fight. I put a good couple hours into playing that one.

Also, I was never a fan of LEDs in pinballs, but that Dracula looked pretty amazing. Got me thinking I might want to do LEDs in my Twilight Zone.

I spent some time talking to the guy who owned the dracula. He was showing me all the little lighting differences. When I get a chance I want to start doing up some of my pins.. TZ and STTNG will be high on the list.

I'd love a Quantum!!! The Atair Nightmare proto was pretty sweet as well. Finally played some Food Fight and that was very fun!!!

Never got a chance to play "The Act" or "Time Traveler" but looked very cool from what I saw.

I was pretty overwhelmed with all the games!!! Kind of like when you walk into IKEA the first time and walk out 6-8 hours later.

Um... I love the concept of a Quantum, but I can never get into the game...

Gravitar.. On the want list before, now more so. It's probably been 7 years since I've played one.

Aztarac - already on the want list, more so now.

Cosmic Chasm - I had an iPad at CAX and had added CC to my VAPS want list by lunch on Saturday.

F355 was already on my want list. I want the 3-monitor version, not the twin though...

Now that we are done with the obvious...

I added 'Barrier' to my want list too. Not a great game, but such a statement that times have changed.

Shark (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9507) I added to the list too. Another great sign of the times. Graphics quality reminded me of the 2600. Plus I have a thing for shark games...

Teeter Torture (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10662) According to VAPS, it may take me a while to find one...

It was great Meeting you mclemore ... I myself would love that Pepper II and that Teeter Torture! Yes, good luck finding one! I'm hoping someone figures out how we can dump the roms to a Venture PCB and figure out how to make a roller!

The post-CAX "Now I want a ____" thread

Bumping this old-ass thread for 2015!

Nothing obscure for me this year. I've fallen back in love with classics:

Joust
Sinistar (again)
Robotron
BurgerTime
Millipede
Black Widow

I think the only semi-obscure game I played a lot of this year was Solar Quest. Cool game.

Oddly enough, I played very little pinball this year. I did, however, get motivated to revisit the LED schemes of my games after drooling over the machines at the Pinball Bulbs table. I bought a bunch of stuff to revamp my Monster Bash, and I want to tackle my Bram Stoker's Dracula after that.

How about you?

Aztarac - I won't be chasing it because I'm realistic, but I played it a ton. What an addicting, beautiful vector game.

Nice...I'm stoked you found this old thread.

So here we are, 5 years later and I still don't have an Aztarac. The one at this year's CAX died half way through Saturday. I'd still love to get one some day...amazing.

The game of the show this year though.......

CHICKEN SHIFT!!!!

Its on the want list now.

I got all the games in my original post... and then sold every single one of them (though I did recently re-acquire a Warlords cocktail).

I didn't get to play Chicken Shift, but I've heard it's fun.

Pretty crazy. I didn't touch a single pinball machine either this year. I wanted to play NBA Fast Break but it was in use all weekend, every time I walked by.

DK3
Video Pinball or Solar Wars
Pong
Pole Position cockpit
Street Fighter big blue
Chase HQ 25"

Enjoyed playing but don't necessarily want to own
Fast Freddy
Ivan Stewart

Dave - I like your style dude; let's party at the next one of these things.

Glad you liked solar quest.. Its a very underated game.

Some friends of mine at sony were jokingly asking me to sell them solar quest. That was a no.. Then they wanted me to store it there. I already donated a canyon bomber to sony. I told them to look for it and maybe I can get it back if its unwanted.

I played the walking dead at cax last night. the leds were bugging the hell out of me. I did not play much this year as I was way to busy with friends and dealing with some of my games. My carnevil was acting weird. My sportstation was also was acting really weird late Saturday night. I shut it off for part of sunday, but then I had to play test it and it seemed happy.

I played solar quest probably the most out of any game there. I think I played from 1am till 2am straight I think.. At some point I ended getting deeply sucked into that game..

It's just so amazing!! Thank you for bringing that! Hope to see it again one day...

Nibbler. I couldn't stop playing that game. Anyone have one to sell?

Nibbler's great! I played that one a lot last year, and a handful of times today.

You guys have good taste...
