Just starting out with pins... called them they hooked me up with the essentials and didn't let me order a bunch of stuff I didn't need...that is they didn't take advantage of the newb! They sent me the stuff right away with an invoice, I didn't have to wait!!! Places like this and folks like Bob Roberts really make this hobby a blast!

This is why I send people to him first. He is also the best (sometimes only) source for parts/paperwork on old EM arcade machines as well.

The folks at pinball life and bay area amusements also provide great service, in my recent experience. Pinball life has really cheap prices for the everyday stuff (like bulbs, etc.).

p.s. the pbr recommends Millwax for cleaning pfs. DON'T! It's not a "wax" but a solvent-based cleaner that can harm many pfs. Most folks use Novus 2 for cleaning, wipe off thoroughly, then wax with a carnauba-based wax.

Millwax is best thrown in the trash.

WOAH! Does it deteriorate the finish? I'll have to pick up some Novus 2 then...

Millwax contains petroleum distillates, so it can cause things to lift earlier. The funny thing is I know a few operators that still swear by it, and wont use anything else. I used Millwax for quite sometime, because it was recommended, but have switched to Novus 2. I definitely dont miss the smell!

Glad I saw this- I think I used the Novus 2 but didn't go back and wax the playfield again. [added to the to-do list]

I have nothing but great things to say about ALL of the pinball vendors mentioned here! I've dealt with all of them a few times each, and every one of them has went out of their way at least once for me. We are extremely fortunate to have so many high quality vendors in this hobby.

yea the pinball resource is awesome, I live 5 minutes away and they always let me go and pick up my order and they were very cool

Except for them giving you the mill wax stuff! I just checked here before I buy things.

PBR definitely has some great stuff but his payment methods make it an absolute PITA for international customers, especially when Australia Post stopped doing international money orders (bastards!) :(

I normally get stuff from Bay Area, Marco's or Pinball Life if I can
