The Pinball Price Guide, Eighth Edition by Pinballeric™, the newest reference book for pinball aficionados, is available. The guide is an ideal resource for collectors, buyers, and sellers trying to determine the current value and fair price of a game. The book lists prices for over 2,000 pinball games produced for the U.S. market—starting in 1931 with the flipperless games, through the nostalgic woodrail games of pinball's Golden Age, up to the Electronic Age games of today.

Unique to this guide is that it breaks pricing down into three grades for each title: "Best," "Good," and "OK". These ratings are determined by the condition of a game's backglass, playfield, and cabinet.

In addition to pricing figures, the book lists the 25 most collectible games for each type of machine, and there is a useful worksheet to help you get organized and understand the actual costs of buying or selling a game beyond the cost of the game itself. The Collector's Corner features Brian Saunders and Martin Ayub with their personal insights about pinball collecting.

The Eighth Edition by Pinballeric™ continues the tradition started by Larry Bieza, who published the first seven editions. Whether you are an established or beginning collector, trying to determine the value of a game found in the basement, or looking for an addition to your home game room, The Pinball Price Guide by Pinballeric™ is an essential resource that points you in the right direction when buying or selling a pinball machine.

The Pinball Price Guide, Eighth Edition by Pinballeric™ (ISBN# 978-0-615-37759-9) is made in the USA and available for purchase for $19.95 at http://pinballeric.com/, Home of the Price Guide, and at http://www.amazon.com/Pinball-Price-Guide-Eighth/dp/0615377599 Amazon.com. According to Gordon "Gordo" Hasse, "In an age of the disappearing printed page, The Pinball Price Guide definitely warrants the attention and support of us pinheads."

Exactly how are these prices determined?
Clearly condition is subjective. Is this like kbb.com for cars?
How is this any better than http://pinpedia.com ?
I'd like to know as this book has been scoffed at on RGP about as much as the mrpinball.com guide has.

Thanks for the clarification.

Does anybody have any sample prices from the guide so we can compare its accuracy to current market values?

What machines might be good indicators to check prices on? MM, RFM, TOM, FT, Royal Flush, Genie, Kiss, etc?

How does this compare to the Mr. Pinball guide?

One nice feature of the Mr Pinball guide is that's it's spiral bound.

Steve
