I got into this hobby for one game, and one game only... NBA Jam. When I first played JAM at The Mineshaft in Rancho Cordova as a 12 year old, I was in awe, I was amazed, and I was hooked. It was the greatest game I had ever played and as a big hoops fan it didn't get any better for me. When I first decided I wanted an arcade game for my first condo, it was a no brainer. This was the one game I actually got emotional over when I sold it last year during my game purge. I had to have it again.

I got a random text the other day that said 'got an NBA Jam for you. Cheap. Come get it'. Went and picked her up today, and couldn't be happier. This is my one and only 'grail' and it's back in it's rightful place.

BOOMSHAKALAKA!!!

I love this game too. First time I played it was on SNES, then loved the arcade version. Strange thing is, I would rather slam my balls in the oven door than watch an NBA game on TV.

Nice side art.
Nice looking game.
Congrats on the new game :)

Yeah the art has some fade but nowhere near as bad as my last one. It needs new sticks and buttons too, but that's easy. So stoked.

Wow, that's in really nice shape. There are two games I would love to grab if I had infinite room, it's an NBA JAM and Mortal Kombal in the original dedicated cabs. I just love those cabs. And, cool games!

Nice score, Jow! Your arcade is looking great!

Thanks bro. Yeah, its getting there again. I have a couple cabs in SoCal too waiting for the move down there. Its nice to be able to add to the lineup again.

Congrats Jow. Awesome pick-up.

I never played much of this game in the arcade, but played tons of NBA Jam on SNES back in the day. I remember I could beat just about anyone by goaltending on purpose three times just to go on fire. Then you could could just continue to run 3 pointers.

Like seeing your arcade continue to grow, but what's up? It's inside now? I have all my games in the garage; early on I was inspired by the original Garacade.

Nice Score!

I also want to know where you got the Vintage Arcade sign.. make it yourself?

I actually got it through Herbertsmart's March of Dimes raffle last year. Maybe he can chime in?

What are NBA Jam's going for these days?

Not sure, but mine was super cheap. A friend hooked it up.

What happened to Punch-Out being your "grail"?

That was more Punch-Out and Super Punch Out being side by side in my lineup. I miss those :(

I couldnt put up with the 105* summers. With the move to Oceanside next month, the garcade will make a return :)
