Honestly, I am shocked that an EDOT isn't at every show. It just seems like the type of rare arcade gaming experience that should and could be at a show of this caliber. I get that they're big and hard to move, but really, I think CAX is about seeing and playing games that most people don't have access to. You should see if the Hawaii guy would donate one in exchange for a lifetime of free admission to the show.
Totally forgot about that as a consideration. But DLP was moving games around all day and all night and all day again. Two more games moved one way and two moved the other way...no big deal right?

Many times thats easier said than done! LOL! But I do really try my hardest to get all the machines into their cool looking rows.... like the Williams row, Nintendo row, etc, etc. We do allocate space in the hopes that other machines show up but towards the end of the night on Friday things start filling up and we have no choice but to just find an open space and stick it in. Plus, my arms get tired from moving machines all day! LOL!! I guess ya get to a point where ya just have to say "oh well" and move on to the next area that needs to be set up. If all the machines were there in the morning, then we'd be able to do it 100%
I really liked the setup this year. You guys did a great job.

Was there a Krull super punch out or 3rd magnet twilight zone?
I mean, C'mon. California is the HOME of "Discs of Tron" machines. It seems like EVERY TIME one is mentioned or referenced on here, they are ALL located in the state of California. It would seem to me that there would be as many of those show up as "Star Wars" machines to the CAX show.
Not too long ago, it was WELL DOCUMENTED that a guy on here had one practically GIVEN to him by a disgruntled wife (along with a Journey upright -the poor sap's "favorite" game). And this was in California. If I recall correctly, he also had photos of a REGULAR Tron and a Robotron posted to PROVE that his score was legit. He could have brought those games, too. The least that guy could have done would be to bring that beautiful Discs of Tron machine to the show for all to enjoy!
Personally, I NEVER saw a "Discs of Tron" on location back when they were new. My guess is that most operators saw such good revenue from the "regular" Tron machine, that they did not see any reason to buy another "more different" Tron game that only has one screen/level instead of "Four". The way people talk about DOT on here, you would expect that there would be AT LEAST a couple of them at EVERY CAX event...

And at CAX do they have a map/guide showing the row or area where specific games can be found? Those of you that have been to CAX, would something like this help people find a game they want to play more easily; or not really?
Yeah, after you get your map- the easter bunny blows you and then Santa shows up so you can get your X-mas list in early.
Was disappointed not to see the kickman or mr. do! again this year. The kickman at last year's show inspired me to buy one. I was also really disappointed that there weren't all the linked games that were at last year's show.
I was really happy to see cyberball there. Seemed to be getting some love every time I walked by it.
