The official "What games were missing at CAX 2010?" thread.

470+ games in one hall is an amazing sight!!! However, I couldn't help to notice several games that were missing that I would of loved to see. First of all, what? No well known Universal games? Would of loved to see a small "Universal Row" with titles such as Ladybug, Space Panic, Cosmic Avenger and ESPECIALLY Mr. Do... I am very good at Mr. Do and Ladybug that I was bummed to not see them there. I didn't see a Rally X or a Tank either (Not that I care).

I know Jow wasn't too happy to not see a Paperboy!!! I must say, I agree!

Either way, a great show!!!

I think it's a good idea to talk about titles not there, so we can, as a group, try to make sure they show up next year.
I for one, want a non-classic but dedicated mortal kombat II.

Donkey Kong 3 was missing. I think it was the only dedicated Nintendo game that wasn't there. I was kinda bummed when I saw another Gyruss there. I could have brought the DK3 instead.

There were two Star Castles, but neither were working on Saturday.

I was looking forward to playing that, but was not disappointed in the least. There were so many great working games.

Qix.

I mean, 471 games and no Qix.

A travesty.

If Qix was there, it may have been one of the only games I played. Highly addictive.

thanks for bringing that up, todd. i was playing zookeeper and kept thinking, man, i wish there was a qix.

I didnt see Galaxian, Pole Position I or II, or Paperboy. I will try my hardest to make sure that my Pole Position and Paperboy make an appearance next year.

I was also disappointed about seeing Discs of Tron and D2K down. I really wanted to play both of those. I also would have liked to see Juno First there. I love that game, but I have only played it on a multi :(

And I'm wondering why that Zookeeper wasn't with the Elevator Action and Frontline...

I preferred the location of the Zookeeper over the location of the EA and Frontline...but the Taito cabs should have been together.

I guess my other gripe was that the Zookeeper sound didn't work on day two or they turned it down. Zookeeper sounds rock. Turn that bitch up!

I played the Star Castle cocktail on Saturday. It was down early in the day but working a little later.

They got the cocktail up and running late Saturday if I remember correctly. I was watching them go over the monitor schematic when I was sitting in the cocktail pit playing Omega Race.

I didn't see it either... A Galaxian CT has been on the game list the past 2 years. Keep missing it...:(

I bought the Galaxian cocktail in 2008 and keep meaning to bring it back to the show. She's fully restored, sans the off-printed reproduction underlay. It really doesn't like to be moved + narrow apartment stairs + arranging transportation = maybe next year, again.

I would love to see a Flight 2000 pin:cool:

There was one last year that sold for like $200.00 or less if I remember correctly.

I thought Sprint 8 was an adequate replacement for Tank 8 that was there last year. :)

Astron Belt! j/k

Didn't see any Granny & the Gators. I love the pin/vid combo machines, but I know they're temperamental as hell.

Didn't see a Computer Space from this years pics either.

My Elevator Action and Front Line didn't get to the convention floor until midnight or thereafter. I'm sure Zookeeper was there long before. Usually by that time the floor is already laid out and its more of (just find a spot and fill it). It would have been nice to stick the taito cabs together but it makes you walk around more. ;)

I would have liked to have seen Come On Baby! It was there last year but wasn't working 100%. It's a funky japanese version of Track-n-Field (sort of).

Of course, I would have liked to have seen Bouncer or the laser version of Road Blaster.

Totally forgot about that as a consideration. But DLP was moving games around all day and all night and all day again. Two more games moved one way and two moved the other way...no big deal right?

I was upset that the Time Pilot controller was a big bowl of suck. In a sense, Time Pilot wasn't there, because it was borderline unplayable.
