The Official Time Pilot Side Art Reproduction Thread

Wow, awesome work guys, great news :D

Hey, I have always loved this game, and will one day be building a repro to sit in my games room. The one thing hat has always bugged me though is that it's not quite full size, there is a "boarder" of wood grain. What are the chances of stretching the art in all directions to fill the cabinet? I don't think it could just be "stretched as the dimensions would be all screwy, more like a new section created on all sides to fill the void.

Thoughts?

I'd be happy to play with it if pomme could send the file, but also don't want to step on the toes of the community and Rich for the work done on the original.

Is this something anyone would be interested in?
 
Just another vote of encouragement... Would love to finally get my hands on some non-faded TP side-art!

That's up to Rich how he wants to do it. If we're looking to stick completely to the original, it would be two pieces. It might be easier to apply as well. Doesn't matter to me though.
 
I havnt got the file yet but Pomme said hed be out of town for a few days
so hopefully this week we'll see some test prints.

Though I dont have one personally I know the woodgrain although original is not much liked.
Id suggest putting black vinyl down first if your not a fan of the grain.
 
I too think it should just be a single decal for a couple reasons. First off, its a p.i.t.a. to apply one decal so why double the work and have the added fun of lining them up. Second, the artwork never matches, the light blue clouds are usually a shade off and the dot patterns, gradients, etc. are off. Also the new artwork could include/finish the yellow jet exhaust thats being cutoff.
 
ok I got the side art file from pomme and need to check a few things
first it will be one full printed piece
the graphic file is a little skewd and Ill need to add bleed a cut line
so for starters I will need someone to verify the dimensions of the art.

AWESOME Rich! I'd be happy to verify the size if necessary, but hopefully someone else can. I leave for a business trip tomorrow and won't return until 11/9.
 
So Rich, any chance at marquees to go with this? I've seen over 10 marquees recently and ALL were flaked. I would love a new one.

Im sure I could do some nice glass marquees for this too
would need exact dimensions for the glass.

and still waiting on some measurements to confirm and fixup the sideart
I could eaisly make this available boths ways as a 1 and 2 piece set
but would need the placement/height of where its cut

My marquee is plexi but would be in for a nice glass one. The dimensions are 24 5/8 x 8 1/4 x 1/8.

Only have bottom side art on my cab and it's 32 11/16 high.

Hey Rich, I'll get you measurements today. Let me know if there are any odd measurements that you need besides the full height, width, etc.
 
nope :(
with the exception of the bottom decal at 32 11/16 high.

we could try it a different way and get a full cab drawn up
so I can fit it to that.
so will need full cab side measements and angles.
and aprox area that the decal did not cover to the cab edge
