The Office Max Arcade!

This giving me an idea for a great project. Imagine building a Tapper cabinet with real wood, replacing the laminate picture of cabinetry with real wood panels. It would look so sweet with that brass bar. It would be the Deluxe Tapper.

Old news. :)

And yes, it is hideous. Someone in Texas was selling on CL a while back.

Here is the thread. In Houston, even.

Its funny the difference in opinion between arcade nerds like ourselves and the mainstream public. Im on here laughing my ass off at this ridiculous machine. Meanwhile my three choad friends come in to see what all the fuss is about and they think this machine looks awesome.

Goes to show that there are people that will buy anything.

I could understand...

The furniture look if it completely closed up and hid itself so that it just looked like a cabinet. That would at least make sense for a MAME system when the SO doesn't want arcade machines in the house. But that thing? It can't blend into your room (the joysticks prevent that pretty heavily), but then again it doesn't really look like an arcade machine.

The only thing I can say for it is that it appears decently made.

Tapper is about the only thing I could see in a cab like this, but that would still need a nice marquee.

Ha. We found it through a different CL add (same unit, though). Now he's got it up again here.
