I read around about the buzz that is common on the Nintendo cabs, especially at low volumes or in quiet environments. Is this off the PCB or the monitor? What is the "level" coming off the board? Is it comparable to line level or is it much hotter? I have looked all over, but there seems to be almost no documentation on the monitor amps or the PCB audio output...

Thanks so much!

I believe it comes from the poor power supply filtering to the audio amp. If you used a different amp or filtered the power before it goes to the Nintendo amp you wouldn't have this problem.

I am going to try another amp, just curious if someone knows what the output level of the pcb is...

my brother just sold his minty donkey kong and was going crazy trying to figure out what causes the buzzing. In his case it was the marquee light. He undid the bulb - no hum. Plug in, hum, unplug, no hum. I would guess a line filtering issue as well.
