A Rob bashing thread seems to come up every couple of months and I say the same things every time.
I've made a couple of orders from Rob in the past and the guy has good customer service (mainly responding to emails promptly), fair prices, excellent packaging and fast shipping. Here's
a thread I did a while back about an original red tent glass I got from Rob. It was the only piece missing from my red tent (now Fly's red tent) at the time. He put a lot of effort to ensure it would arrive safely.
Sure, Rob's site is a bit over the top and not the nicest and he spams CL, but like John said, he's playing a character and playing it up as a brand. And as someone mentioned, if you don't like his CL posts, ignore them or add "-vidkiller" to your search. Simple as that. He provides parts nationwide so it does make sense for him to want to post in areas outside of FL. It's marketing that apparently works for him. Much like Todd throwing games off a roof and taping it to prove a point that he doesn't sell junk. That's a whole different debate that I won't get myself involved in.
All I know is, whether you hate his sales strategy or not, Rob provides excellent service and parts that many of us wouldn't be able to find otherwise.
