Can someone show me a BEFORE and AFTER of clown vomit?
Some just really look bad. I've seen some on Arena alone (on YT) where I'm like godpleaseno.

I'm not the one wondering if a pinball machine with LEDs runs on less current (inrush or steady) then the same machine with incandescent.
Trust your meter.A basic google search will provide you with several technical articles about LED lighting and the circuits that convert std power distribution systems, AC, to DC sources for the LEDs.
This is a common misconception that causes retrofit issues.
The thermistors on the pinball machine's AC power input only manage the inrush when you turn the machine on. After the machine has come up they are into their steady state and are effectively no longer useful. The LEDs On cycle has it's own inrush that draws off of the GI/Lighting power supplies. Is it true that thermistors can largely mitigate the inrush concern? I know all machines don't have by default.
What's the inrush current of a diode and two resistors? The thermistors on the pinball machine's AC power input only manage the inrush when you turn the machine on. After the machine has come up they are into their steady state and are effectively no longer useful. The LEDs On cycle has it's own inrush that draws off of the GI/Lighting power supplies.
Ok, wow...now I get it. "clown vomit" is a very fitting description. lolJust too much for me. One of the things I love about pinball machines is the artwork. Clown puke just drowns out the art. Tasteless IMHO.
