The KLOV Arcade Mixtape!

Hooked on an 8 second ride
Chris Ledoux

Local rodeo wannabes had this playing nonstop on the Tastee Freeze juke my sophomore year. That was usually the background music for playing 1943 and Black Tiger if those guys were around. And…720. Which was kind of funny at the time.

Oh, man... the shittiest Beatles song. So be it...
991. VectorCollector - "Revolution 9" by The Beatles

A country song, eh? The post-chorus riff sounds like "Barracuda," so I'll allow it.
992. cwilkson - "Hooked on an 8 Second Ride" by Chris Ledoux.

You relentless bastards have screwed yourselves. Here's another "8" for ya...
993. VectorCollector - "Eight Miles High" by The Byrds

Are we really missing alot of EAGLES songs on the list? WTF?
We'll need to add more after we hit 1000. LOL

Assumed this would not be added due to timeline ->

Wallflowers are too new, sorry. I think I set the max at 1994.

995. VectorCollector - "Five Years" by David Bowie
996. VectorCollector - "Four Sticks" by Led Zeppelin
997. VectorCollector - "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley & The Wailers
998. VectorCollector - "Two Hearts" by Bruce Springsteen
999. VectorCollector - "One Way or Another" by Blondie

And because it's about lunch time and I've got some other stuff to do today, I'm gonna go ahead and ruin things, take advantage of the 1994 rule, and make it 1000 with this one:

Classic Cure from '92. This song always sends chills down my spine and brings back cloudy memories of a time gone by ...

"Why, why, why are you letting me go?" she says
"I feel you pulling back, I feel you changing shape"
And just as I'm breaking free, she hangs herself in front of me
Slips her dress like a flag to the floor
And hands in the sky, surrenders it all
