Ken Layton has been sending me a lot of his repair guides and other goodies the past few days. I have been converting them to .pdf and, with the approval of Ken, am hosting them on my site.

You can view and download the files at the following link:

Thanks to Ken for making this information available.

Thanks to Michael for providing a depository for all this information as well as Ken for actually producing/pdfing/whatnot said info.

Thanks a bunch Mike!

You have a nice site. I see that G&G document is meant for the NES. Will it work with the arcade version?

Thanks to both of you for making this available, should provide good bedtime reading, and certainly will be helpful if I wind up working on one of the items listed. Mike if you need a mirror to take some of the load off your hosting company let me know, I've got a ton of available bandwidth that I'm not making much use of right now with my sites.

The more people that can and will host these treasures, the better IMO.

Yeah the post was more of a reminder to myself to mirror them in a directory that isn't linked on my space so as not to try to attention grab away from the main site or anything and post the links when i get a chance as I was ass deep in work and headed out the door as soon as work was over when I wrote that. I'll download/mirror when I get up tomorrow and send Mike the mirror links.

PDF manuals, arcade artwork, etc

It would be nice if we could get ALL the PDFs on KLOV. I would also like to add that the majority of images on the main KLOV site are very low res and it seems like a good time to revisit creating new images.

I certainly would be willing to help with some of this, especially the imaging part. Standards for photographs, image quality, color correction, etc.

I generally scan everything with Paperport since it allows me quite a bit of latitude to "clean up" or doctor sub-par original material. I use the "de-screen" function to make halftone pictures look good (no rainbows). On schematics I like to scan at 600 d.p.i. so enlargements are clearer.

I noticed every time I upload a pic it gets "compressed" or something. (shrunk)
I tested it with a pic I just uploaded and even saving the pic right back to my computer makes it so small it's useless. (and it was much bigger to begin with)

And Kudo's to Ken for sharing his wealth of knowledge for sure.
