i have about 20 raster monitors and i would say at least half of them have the annoying hula wave. its extremely frustrating as i have never succesfully solved this issue on any of them.

it usually happens after i recap and reflow them, which is strange. its across the board too, 4900's and 4600's as well as a couple G07's but its usually on the 4900's

any advice helpful, i always thought it was a B+ issue but it continues to happen after i dial that in

thx

It seems odd that you're having that issue on so many monitors. I had an issue one time with a 4600 that was plugged into a power strip, that was in turn plugged into a cheap wireless outlet. I probably had 5 games on that power strip but the one with the 4600 was the only one with a wave to it. I plugged it into a dedicated outlet and no more issues. I have since ditched the cheap wireless outlet. You may try moving games around and plugging into different outlets as you may have a wiring issue.

update if anyone doesnt know already, apparently certain areas of the house are causing the hula wave on some games. Im guessing electrical line interference right behind the walls im positioning the games against? This seems to be the case. Was also causing degauss issues as well.

Strange, i wasnt aware this could happen. I knew the earths polarity caused degauss issues but not this.. at least now I know it wasnt my bad cap skills
