I hope that I can do this one.... Lord knows I put in quite a few quarters to get there.

oh, wow. i have a really nice playfield for my BSD, but i don't have the balls in my shorts to tear that sucker apart and put it in.

prolly just gonna sit in the corner for a while. LOL.

speaking of space shuttle you didnt get that did you steve?

pf rebuild? i know you have the technology... you can rebuild him, bigger, faster, stronger!

yes, please take lots of pics and share any info.i would love to tackle a project like this some day and any info help is always welcome.i bet your wcs is gona be sweet when its done.

Moving right along... slowly. When the ramps go on, it will take only a few minutes to do, and yet it will make the playfield look 100% more complete. So, in actuality, I've gotten pretty far.

Question on yours...did you disconnect the wiring harness with everything on the back attached, like lamp holders and everything? That's what I'm thinking I can do with mine. Just remove from the top down with it standing up after clearing off the top then just lay everything in the cab attached to the harness. Use the old one for reference, drill the holes I need, then reattach everything.

Is that nutty and unrealistic? LOL.

I guess your question confuses me a bit. I will move the wires as the dead last step. All the wires that are connected to each other hold a sort of shape, and I'll have a few friends lift fromm the one playfield to the other. Then, start plugging everything in and solder things back on. I opted to cut the coils and just label them, as they are very heavy, and there's a lot to them (poppers, the whole goalie unit, kickers, pop bumpers). So, I cut those, unplugged the lamp boards (the ONE good thing with games of J Pop's that use 555s), and then do all the targets and what not.

The whole 555 thing is why you can see some lamps in already, because they simply unplug. MUCH easier than doing one 44 at a time. That would take a lot longer to do.

Right. I figured I would have to unsolder the coil assemblies and such on the shuttle and label those wires, but I'm planning on leaving every single socket soldered to the harness right where it's at and just dropping the whole thing in the cabinet. Aside from some kind of odd yellow dust, there's only one that I know of that isn't working currently...haven't determined if it's a wire issue or just the socket, and I just blew a chance to order a socket in the last parts order...crap!

Gonna use a loose socket to fit the positions for drilling holes, but not going to unsolder all that crap unless I absolutely HAVE to!!
