Today's archeological expedition reveals the mummified remains of a curious creature. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that the dried shell of a carcass is beyond retrieving for further research. Fortunately, although said carcass was sacrificed, its precious treasures within were saved from the ravages of time and the elements. They are now being kept safe at the Institute of Curious Crappe and Junque for further preservation and study. The strange hieroglyphs can be loosely translated to read "Champion Ping Pong". The true meaning of this passage is unknown but the Institute believes it to be some sort of ritualistic totem, likely used by warriors to assert dominance over their foes. Our research continues but the Institute would like to reach out to its peers for comment and conjecture.

Good day, Gentlemen.
Sincerely,
Dr. Arizona Smith

Lock it in a warehouse with the arc.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, what kind of monitor is in there. Motorola? or something earlier?

Yep Motorola.

Also attatched is a better pic of the pcb for those wondering what a Champion Ping Pong made by Mirco of Phoenix AZ looks like.

Fascinating, I know.:p

Anyone have a schematic?

I don't know about the circuit board but the chassis itself looks different then the 501 and 701.

The boards already off and I found an unattached component in the bottom. I'm guessing it's a transistor with a heat sink. It's in the bottom of the pic. Hopefully that means the game was decommissioned due to a bad monitor rather than a bad pcb.
