Anyone ever been to this place in Hayward (Northern CA)? I guess the owner/operator's name is Rick. From the pictures of his ads, looks like he has a good amount of games and pins.

Although, he lists the same ad and games on CL every week since I've been in the hobby back in February. Just wanted to check in here in case someone has already done business with him or knows him.

Maybe he's in KLOV. Haha.

I talked to him on the phone a couple times about some of his games for sale and he kinda got pissed when I tried to get a deal .

Hes retail and he's in it to get top dollar for his games , some of which I've seen on CL for a couple years now because the price is so high .

He has had the same list up there for a few years. I have had people call me from his store asking if game X worth $xxx. I usually tell them to be patient. That those games are high retail. Plus the person who called me said the game was pretty rough.. I told him if he wanted to pay high retail to contact gene lewin in LA. I know his prices are high too, but most of his stuff is very clean..

I don't know if it was this seller or someone else, but last year some guy kept listing stargate for $1395 or $1595. I thought it was way too much. I had two broken cabinets in storage, so fixed them up and sold them on CL for $550 and $600.

I have purchased at least a couple games from Rick but they were projects on the cheap. He will give good deals on projects he just wants gone since he really doesn't fix games much. His working games are usually too high priced for me though.

Yeah that was him and I think he still has the Stargate .

Wait, if he doesn't fix games, what does he do?

A couple of guys here have said he's had the same games up on CL for years and they never sell.

I wonder if his store is just a cover up for something else...hmm...

I don't think I have ever delt with rick, buy a guy out here who used to sell stuff named yogi used to have a high end retail front. He had some hired techs to fix all his games. I THINK yogi did none of the work himself. It could be a situation like that.

There are always people who too much money, no patience, and or don't know any better. I am sure some people go in there and pay retail for some of his games. I am sure ricks landlord is happy..

I agree Rick will give you deals on projects bu 100percent working games noway! I bought my first punch out from Rick yrs ago with no controls working and I got it for 175.00. I've talked to rick on some of his stuff he's had on CL forever and he will make a deal. The common things like Pac Mans, Galaga etc he will never make a deal. Uncommon project stuff you can work him! Just remember the guy has overhead, rent, employees, etc.

My Star Wars has a "Call Yogi for service" sticker on it! Also has an asset tag for some local arcade of yesteryear.

Hope you're feeling better Bill!
