After a long hiatus, the Asshat Arcade is once again at one with The Force...

As you can see. She's a bit of a project. Side art is 6/7ish...will likely be replaced. Front art is 8/9ish... it will likely remain.

I need a marquee. I need yoke artwork. I also need two thumb buttons. I need about 80% of the coin door(s)... and I need a back door.

The game plays fine, but the monitor is in need of a rebuild + low voltage kit... currently (pre-adjusting) it appears to have some geometry issues and the left inch or so appears to have collapsed.

Very cool sir! Saves space over the cockpit and looks every bit as cool. I vote you leave the marquee. Get the multi kit and it'll be justified. Star Wars is one of my favorite games of all time, although I've been digging Empire lately.

After monitor/pcb adjustment the geometry issues are mostly resolved (taking in to account the WG "effect" in a SW)... though the left inch collapse remains. I'm ordering a cap kit today as well as a LV6100.

Very cool indeed. I was a Star Wars kid (born the same month the original was released). Saw all of the movies in the theater (although I might not remember seeing A New Hope lol).

As such, Star Wars was my favorite arcade game of all time. I played it almost exclusively when my parents took me to the arcade. Loved that they had Obi Wan's voice on there.

I don't think I ever did get to play Empire Strikes Back.

Anyhow, good luck to you.

I supposed I should be clear... the game inside is Star Wars... not ESB... though I do plan on multi-ing it.

The marquee is a bit beat up around the bend...so it will have to be replaced.

Anyone have a loose Atari over/under coin door they wanna sell cheap? Frankly... I'm only really need the doors/coin slots, etc...

Nice score! These almost never pop up around here, and the one that did was $1000. I thought you found the game a little boring when you owned the cockpit. Did you change your mind?

$1000? That's peanuts...
There's 2 around here on ebay, one for $2199 and one for $2900 (but if you act fast on the second one, it's on sale 15% off - only $2465 for the next 7 days)
:D

I actually have about 1/2 of a deluxe yoke rebuild kit I bought years ago from Mylstar.

Unfortunately I used my thumb buttons for the cockpit a couple years back.

Naw, it's not weird at all if you play Empire more than the original. That being said, I think the original marquee is far superior in style to the sequel's. I just know if I had the multi kit and that cabinet it would be flipped to Empire 80% of the time.

I like Empire... aside from the stupid-ass Asteroids stage. I hate that stage. If only there was an ability to shoot the damn things.

Hey here are a couple pic's. I measured my doors and the the whole frame and it is a fit. Something good to know. If you just need the doors they do unscrew.

its really too bad with the whole RAM effect, cuz last year i was one of the lucky klovers who REC my brand new star wars yoke and its simply awesome.

congrats friz on gettin your star wars groove back. great game.

Maybe you could get some parts from RAM controls! Oh, oops, maybe not.

I'd love to have that machine in my arcade. Have fun with it.

Friz, If you can use this thumb button/spring kit, PM me and it's yours. It's from way way back on rgvac. I got more in the RAM kit I'm gonna use.
