A few announcements to make here so please bare with me.
1st, I have removed all the word documents pertaining to the average prices under each manufacture for "general EM games". And instead i have replaced them with Excel files. Reason being is it looks far more professional and it will be easier to use when looking up game titles.
2nd, In additional to follwing the prices for general EM games i will be starting to take on EM pinball machines prices.. Yes, thats right folks EM pins will become apart of the price guide too. This will be a vast undertaking for me. I will be dealing with almost 3 times the amount of game inventory coming to market than general EM games and for this reason i will be treating the pin prices a little differently in the price guide.
Again, this will be only for EM pins. No solid states or there after. I am following prices and recording them now. About the begining of 2015 you'll start seeing the pin price Excel files being added to the price guide. Most likely they will have there own page and each manufacture will be represented by an Excel file.
I realise there are other price guides on the internet but what i hear from some pinball collectors is that the prices dont always reflect condition. So with that in mind i have come up with a format to handle those concerns. Between what the sellers descriptions are in their pin acutions and with my eyes i will try to be specific in recording the conditions.
As i said before, there will be an Excel file for each manufacture. There will be two spread sheets contained in each file.
The first spreadsheet will give you all the important information regarding the sold game including the final price, region or location, Working ? Not Working?, playfield condition, cabinet condition, bezel condition, and any other notes important to the game. It will not be a number grading system. Numbers always leave me guessing what a condition is so i will not have that in my guide.. It will be more like simple descriptive words to best describe the conditions for the areas of most concern.
The second spreadsheet will show you what most other prices guides include like the minimum and maximum prices along with the average price. Ive worded mine a little different but its the same basic idea for what someone is willing to pay. Its a two in one file and all the information will be there for your conveniance.
When a pin sell it will be at this point that i add them to their prespective Excel files. Recording them will be a little slower simply because of the amount of games coming to market and the details i have to record for them. I will not be following the auctions in the same manner as "general EM games" Those auctions dont quite sell as commonly as pins do And their titles dont offtenly come up for sale. So there will be no need to indicate when an pin auction is Inactive or In Progress. The reason for this is general EM games sit on the market longer than EM pins. The turn around is much faster.
My price guide seemed kinda naked without EM pins so i have to include them.. I really want my site to reflect everything in the EM genre. So having a one-stop shopping place for acurate prices based on condition, completeness and working mechanics is what my goals are for collectors and consumers in mind.
