The Drop In Quarters 2.0 - Don't call it a come back.

As more games arrive I'm already getting tight on space in this small area so I need to 'try' and stay focused on my list and make sure I have space for the titles that I really like.

I have comfortable room for 12 cabs down here which breaks down to `10 Full size uprights, 1 cabaret and 1 cocktail. Making a list more for a sanity check at this point.

Uprights
1. Robotron.
2. Space Harrier.
3. Outrun.
4. Ms. Pac Galaga 20th. - (May swap places with Paperboy).
5. Mad Planets. (In progress)
6. Neo Geo Big Red.
7. Pooyan. (In progress)
8. Timber. (In progress)
9.
10.

Cabaret
1. Tempest.

Cocktail
1. Warlords. (In progress)

Other machines I own
1. Paperboy - (currently upstairs in the bar).
2. Donkey Kong - (currently upstairs in the bar).
3. Pulsar cocktail - (Monitor being repaired, not sure I will keep it).
4. City Connection - (Really starting to hate this project).
5. Deco Burgertime - (Inbound, not sure where it will land).
6. Sit-down Mame multi Driver- (in the bar).
7. 4-Player Mame Multi - (in the bar).
8. ArcadeSD multi in a Robotron cab - (in the bar).

Big Red's cleanup is coming along well, I didn't think it really deserved a resto thread as there isn't much interesting or involved to be done, just elbow grease and time, so far I've completed the following since picking it up.

- Monitor repaired (Might retube for mild burn)
- Remote battery mod with a rechargeable watch battery
- Fixed a volume issue
- New paint for red and black
- New vinyl lettering on the sides
- New EL panels for the marquee
- New white t-mold
- New Carriage bolts for the CP (most were missing)

Still needs:

- New front kickplate art
- New CPO

Hey Griffin, welcome back! Thanks for sharing your build of the new arcade. Love having a proper space to share the games with others in. Great aesthetics and I will be following this thread now that I found it. Really like how you lit up the Temu bar and use it as a display cabinet. I agree that an arcade space needs more than just games, inevitably we are all human and we want to stand around and talk shit to each other. Gotta have a bar, tables, couches, something...

Thanks bud, great to hear from you!! I know that every time I hang out with fellow arcade collectors we spend about 5% of the time playing the games and 95% drinking n waffling.

Glad you are back. I've always admired your creativity in your builds on the "other arcade site..."

Parappa would be a great theme for a cabinet, such an iconic mascot!

Were you thinking of making the cabinet like a Japanese large button rhythm game? 2 players?

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome back.

My initial idea was to use a repro 720 cabinet because it's control panel is well suited to a large button PlayStation-type layout and of course it has the integrated ghetto blaster on top which would really suit the theme. Art style would of course be driven by the existing Parappa material and a 90's Japanese arcade vibe.

Instead of the 720 wording across the top of the monitor I always wanted 'Don't get cocky, it's gonna get rocky' 😊
