OK, yea I know, evil LCD.... customer wanted it, I am doing it for them.

Question, has anyone installed an LCD only to find out it won't come on automatically?
Any ideas on a work around?
I'm looking at wiring it to "always on" power and it can go into standby when the board goes off.

Would love to make it just power on upon receiving AC so I can use the cabinet switch.

Anyway, prob. a million variants of LCD's out there.

never had that issue. what brand/model lcd is it?

It was "ProView" brand monitor and also lost the screen settings.
I worked around a little by wiring the power to be on whenever the machine was plugged in. The monitor would turn off into standby if there was no signal. The cabinet switch turned the PCB on and off. I also wired a switch for monitor power down to the coin door so it wouldn't be a pain to turn on the monitor if you moved the cabinet.

I built 2 machines, one with the LCD and one with a VGA computer monitor.
I will say the LCD doesn't do it for me at all, VGA actually wasn't too bad.
Both machines are now sold and gone to be under Christmas trees (so to speak).
