Ok, after sorting through tons of submissions (actually just 3 :() we have a winner in The Donkey Kong Challenge!!!

And the winner is....

JamBurglar with a whopping score of 391,400!

So what is this fantastic super duper Grand Prize for such an incredible feat?

A set of 4 Donkey Kong hubcaps!!! (oh, wait, those are staying on my '74 Pinto)

So, instead of the DK hubcaps, you get something I found at the grocery store!

I was there at the CoinStar Machine and I see some coins that someone had left behind. So I picked them up and low and behold, what do I see?
One of these! (This is not the actual one, this is just a pic from google.)

So why give this away for The Donkey Kong Challege?

Well, Seven video arcade game tokens were minted for the 1982 World's Fair, each depicting a different game. These tokens were given out at the arcade at the World's Fair itself. The seven games on each of the tokens are Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Qix, Gorf, Scramble, and Donkey Kong.

Ok, is it becoming clear yet?

Yes, The Donkey Kong Challege Grand Prize is a 1982 World's Fair video game token of Donkey Kong! Yeaaaaa!!!!!!

So, Congrats to JamBurglar. Send me your address and I'll get it on the way to you!

I couldn't find a pic of the Donkey Kong side to show everyone, but it's cool!

That's a sick prize (way better than Donkey Kong hubcaps)!!!! Thanks for the motivation.

Special thanks to all the super-good Donkey Kong players who had to go out of town, had broken screens, had sick kids, etc., thereby allowing people like me to have chance to win.

I was in Ottumwa for the IVGHOF event from Friday to Sunday. You're welcome. ;)

To be fair, those were done while practicing on 6-man start. My best on 3-man start is 778K.

This was a great idea for KLOV. I hope Brentradio continues these fun little challenges, or that someone else picks up the baton if he doesn't.

now I'm bummed I didn't have time to get some serious game time in. I think I have two of the world's fair tokens. Don't have a DK yet though.

and I thought Billy Mitchell always put "USA" on his high scores :)

Nice contest and great prize, sorry I missed this one...

I look forward to future contest. I cannot put-up DK scores like that, so I never submitted. Hopefully, the next game will be one I have and am better at... :)
