Picked up my first free game yesterday, was listed as 'game works'. I get it home, the marquee barely lights, blinking off and on, the speakers hum, the monitor was getting no voltage due to a blown fuse, and upon replacing the fuse I find out the flyback's fried. So out of all that, what would have prompted the guy to list it as 'working'. Was it the morse code marquee?? i know i know, it was free...

I don't know how many times I've heard people say their pinball is "working 100%". Oh... except for some feature lamps that are not working. But Still... "working 100%!".

Working 100% is thrown around way too often. It's probably one of the worst statements that can be made about a game, especially a pinball machine.

I don't buy working games... if somebody says the game works, I ignore that and assume everything on the game is broken. If I get a game that works, I usually have to fix everything that halfass works anyways. I rarely get a board that doesn't need the chips cleaned, or the power supply adjusted, or the monitor rebuilt, or the t-molding replaced, or whatever.

As a matter of fact, when I show up to buy games I don't even plug them in.
