Back in June I came up with a custom vectrex control panel using a robotics analog stick and some yellow 24mm buttons I found at microcenter (had no idea smaller arcade style buttons existed). I built it as a 2nd controller for my set up since I only had one panel, but it became clear that I was on to something, and was really enjoying how my panel played. With large hands my panel introduces zero hand strain or cramping, your hands just kinda lay there naturally during game play. Now I've seen numerous odd head scratching custom vectrex controllers that have been produced throughout the years, but I thought it would be cool to come up with a panel that kinda looked like an original one.

Over the last couple months I've funded and gathered up the parts to do a run of 15 panels with custom artwork. One little detail I wanted was a coiled cable, did extensive testing of various methods and came up with the right combo, it's not perfect but pretty damn cool. Made up little pcb's for the analog circuit, sourced out some cool strain reliefs vs. using the black plastic clamp thing stuffed in a 1/2" hole. Was delayed with assembly for about 2 weeks after being jacked off by numerous printers (2 from here) just trying to get 20 copies of my simple fucking art printed and laminated. To the jackers, you could've told me $9 per overlay and I would've bit, your loss. Finally found a guy interested in making some money named Brad on the byoac forums, mad props to him, great price and had my shit in 4 days. The result is badass and the sanwa buttons are real nice. Someone posted it to facebook along with my byoac project thread link and I sold 11 within 3 hours without having to even advertise them for sale. Was a fuck ton of work, but fun to do and never again :) . I'm keeping #1 and #15 and 13 of them will be around the globe.

good day.
