Just an observation... something about the CRT monitor just defined the soul of watching something on a screen in the hearts and minds of society.
even in 2021 I'm watching "Loki" and seeing the main "realm" of the show is covered in CRT monitors. It reminded me of how many times I've noticed that films of the past always used CRT monitors in future tense films, not having been able to conceive of a world where they would have evolved. What's more, so many films and television shows still use them to convey style in situations where we the setting is another time, another dimension, or just an undefined other world.
even in the most modern television shows and films that have no intention of using CRT monitors, scan lines are used to make sure the viewer understands when they are seeing something on a screen.
I just thought it was cool how persistent the legacy is
