The Bullsh** Continues!!! (Will this ever stop) This klov not craigslist people!

There are no details it disappeared before I stepped foot out the house.

...so it cost you nothing...

No time, no effort, no money... you just replied to a posting here, and got your panties in a bunch when a ridiculously low price didn't pan out. Wah.

Shit happens.

man i freakin passed on a Complete Nice shape Q Bert Arcade (with nice side art too) at an auction in Winchester, Virginia last year. It sold for $40.00 :( Just needed some joysticks and buttons put in it.

UGH wish i had gotten the ambition to learn how to work on arcades then. I got my eyes peeled for anything like that now. lol

live and learn..:(

And as for the BS, its in any hobby bro. I collect classic console stuff and have for 10 years, and there have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many deals where i was ("back doored" i call it , where i even paid people like u did, and they refunded because they got a better offer. Happens all the time in any hobby.

The fact of the matter is, as a hobby grows, more and more people becomes scavengers.... and its sad, but alot of people dont care. Seller dont care who he sells something too, he probably just wants the most he can get out of it. Im sure its frustrating but its life. You just gotta be happy at all the great deals you have been blessed to find.

If you were so smart and following me which I see you like to do, then you should no that I didn't make this post after missing out on the star wars deal. If I recall I didn't say much about it at all other than I lost the deal and it disappeared. We all on klov understand you need attention from what you come up with on everyones post (95% negative thoughts), but if you need to do it on mine then get the information straight first my friend. Like I told you last time when you came with your 2 cents I'm not a young kid sitting around on my computer waiting for someone's post I can say something negative on. Also I don't do the bashing back & forth post which you seem to enjoy so much, so you can find someone else. I always will respond to one or two, but thats about it buddy, so your pretty much on your own now, have fun!

You're the one posting negative things about fellow KLOVers, kiddo.

...and yes, you did make this post after missing out on SW, and I think it's quite unfair to bash a KLOVer for a deal that fell through when it was out of his control.

Try driving 600 miles and have people bail on deals, as I have in the past, and then you'll actually have something to complain about. "Losing out" on deals that never went past the emailing back and forth level is bush league.

.
all I want to know is how the F you pull off these trips without your wife killing you, esp since you have a kid!

My wife has asked me that a few times about Darryl and I have always wondered the same thing lol. I have four kids and barely have time to play let alone work on my games,or travel more than 2hrs to get a game. I go into work early just so I can leave early and have 2-3 hrs to myself game wise before the wife comes home because after that all my time is devoted to her until bed time, thats why I am still constantly getting games. Quality time with her equals more games for me.

I accept your apology and dont need you to feel down about anything. If I wanted that I would have mentioned your name. The price was a good price and I as you see I never tried to talk you down even thought you had a (or best offer). I just gave you what you wanted. I was actually wanting to get this game for another member on here thats helping me out with one of my games now. I not a retailer but I do resell or trade games I get to keep the hobby alive for me. The only problem was like all the others we agreed and I sent you the money so it should have been a done deal. Life goes on and so does the games. You dont have anything to worry about making any enemies on here 98% of us are positive people. I'm sure you wont make that mistake again. Thats all I wanted to do is make people aware including myself which some people have done with me in the past.
Enjoy like man and dont be so hard on yourself!

Hello
I'm at work right now so I don't have time to read the entire post but I think it was inspired by me for the most part. I am the guy that sold dj dns the last game in question. I respect him for not mentioning my name but I have always been the type of person to own up to my mistakes so here it goes...(sorry, long posting)
I'm not perfect, I screw up from time to time like everybody and I really don't want to make anyone mad. I sold dj dns my Asteroids Deluxe mini for $75 and a 48 in 1 pcb (great price, I know :) ). I agreed to ship it for him as well. When I asked my boss if I could grab a pallet/shrinkwrap from work, borrow the company truck to bring it home and maybe get a half day off from work for the pick up of the game in question. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what but he just laid into me about it, enough to make me feel depressed and wonder how I ended up in a place like this (he is also younger than me, which yes, makes it worse, not sure why but it does...) I know it's no excuse but after that I just didn't feel like dealing with it, all the joy I normally recieve from selling someone something cheap was just replaced with anger and hatred towards my boss. I know he just wanted me to beg him to use the pallet and truck and at this point it wasn't happening. What I did was complete bullshit, I have no other way to say it. I backed out of a deal and I feel horrible knowing it effected dj dns this bad. I saw that he had 50+ games and just assumed he was a dealer/reseller so it would be no big deal and it wouldn't bother him. I should have contacted him first, I really feel bad now guys... Like I said to him, I'm just a Dad that works way too much and occasionally collects arcade games. I'm not really a "seller" and I usually buy my games super cheap with patience and then sell them super cheap just because I love the reaction I get from people when they get a good deal. I know my AD mini was worth more than that but it didn't matter to me since I got it cheap (I did NOT sell it for more to the other guy by the way, if that matters) I let my temper get the better of me yesterday and took the easy way out, being a father thats something I'm working on changing but I was just having a bad day and because of it I really let dj dns down. I am really sorry man, skimming through some comments it seems I did something really really bad and I just feel horrible now. Anyone who knows me will know I let stuff like this bother me way too much and can almost become obssesive over it. I know it's just a game and just some anonomous internet forum but being a newer member I was kind of stating to feel the "friendship" of the community and this makes me feel like I blew it. dj dns and KLOV...I apologize for my behavior, sorry guys, hopefully we can still be friends...
:( - Brian

Glad we can have a regular conversation. I did not bash anyone. The star wars deal never happened is what I pretty much said. I didnt say copious backed out on me, flaked on me or anything like that to cause me to lose that deal. He is the one that gave me th chance to get it in the first place. If I did otherwise please show me. I didn't point any fingers because I honestly have no idea what happened. It disappeared before I stepped foot out the house and that's what happened. I never went on and on about it. The other issues I had I did because I know what happened. All it takes is one person to find a craigslist seller with the city and state posted in the thread, offer him $300 for it and its a done deal. Also I have been on wild goose chases for games and came home empty, but I dont post them on here because it doesn't have anything to do with klov members. So yes I been there before and so have others. Thanks for the concerns.

To answer that question I have my own business and I make my own hours. I can pretty much pick up and go when I please unless I'm in the middle of doing a job. When my family Im always around and the times that I do travel for games or bulk deals I normally not gone for more than two days. I always plan ahead so everthing is taken care of before I leave. That MI bulk buy trip only took me a day and a half. You just need to no what your doing and be a little crazy. If I didn't do things like this how else would all my local / semi local get all there games. You can find all game titles in your backyard. Unfortuntaly they only seem to turn up in other states.

Man....I dont know, but if I were you after reading Crazy Climbers post, I sure would feel like an asshole. I know you guys had a deal, but sometimes shit happens, and its not always about someone offering the person more money, as is the case with Crazy Climber.

Btw Crazy Climber, your boss sounds like some of mine. Too young to be bosses, and they think they are gods and can get away with anything. One day they will get fired and reality will kick in.

I did reply to his post and stated everything is cool. You can go back a couple of post and read it. I dont feel like and asshole because I never put his name out there and this wasn't a post to bash him. I gave examples of what was an ongoing thing happening to me. Its just a post to make others aware of whats happening. Just trying to bring more unity and trust in this small little arcade circle. The ebay auctions and other bull that happens on craigslist is understandably. But backing out of most deals with another klover is not so. So I'm not trying to be the bad guy here by any means. Just hoping for a few more positive transactions and a little less of the backing out when not needed transactions. If I knew it was a problem with shipping I would have had someone pick it up for me (as I just did with the Tekken 5 I'm having shipped now) and have that person ship it out. I was upset because he gave me no chance or clue that this was an issue and just sold the machine to someone else.

Man,I want my own hours. I wish I was retired already. I got way to many kids and they always need dad for something.Ultimately I'd like to take a week off work, rent a truck and ride all over the east coast doing pick ups. The deals on games that I find in surrounding states and beyond is beyond comprehension.

hey man if ya ever do that pick me up on the way through lol.

My wife and i just had our first little one on xmas eve 3 weeks ago! And after a few weeks of being a first time Dad, i dont know how you guys find anytime for arcades lol, especially if you have 4.

Tranquilizers. Even if you can bullseye a wamprat, try nailing a speeding toddler with those crappy dart/blow guns!

You can use livestock tranqs, but water them down... A lot. ;) Otherwise, CPS will be on your ass for sure.

Seems like your hobby is upsetting you too much, you just need to roll with it. You're in this for fun right? Is this fun? Sit back, relax these are not irreplaceble holy relics so there will be other opportunities. As someone said before me you're under the misconception that these folks are your friends, they are actually friendly competitors. I've collected many different kinds of things over the past few decade and when it comes to buying collectable shit people behave lousy when something they want is up for grabs. I've had people snach shit off gunshow tables while I was reaching for my wallet that were my "friends". This behavior is not new nor unique to arcade crap. Simple answer is, make your own deals outside the comunity, don't talk about them, and don't be a cheap ass and you'll have fewer problems.

Amen, best post of the thread. So true, been there, seen it first hand many times.

Brian (Crazy Climber) is a good guy and I would do business with him again. If he feels that bad about what happened and how is boss is, I don't doubt for a second it is that bad. Bad situation, but I am glad it seems that both sides are amicable about it now.
