The Bucky O'Hare project

Ok more parts. Not my first choice for Freeplay but I'm dealing with a Konami game with no setting for it and no rom hacks...Plus no start buttons

Ok it's what I have been putting off. Time to fix the bottom of the cabinet. I don't have new feet and with the Southern Fried Gameroom Expo coming up I'm pressed for time. I'm using Minwax wood hardner to stop the crumbling...

So far so good. Kinda looks like corners and an edge now. Abit more Bondo, sanding and a file and it might just work.

making good progress DK and that bondo sure makes a mess.
Sure does KK. Lots of dust... I'm going to have to pull out the shop vac! I hope to finish this side tomorrow. I'm even doing the back part that no one sees to reinforce what is there.(stops the particle board from wearing down further)

Well getting there

Yikes, thats a lot of bondo. My simpsons looked a lot like that, maybe worse. I ended up cutting the bottom 3" off the game and just replacing it all. Looks a hell of a lot better than i could have done with bondo.

Well I said this over on the John's arcade fourm shoutbox: Bondo is forgiving but dyslexic me trying to cut straight with a saw is not. If I put on too much or too little Bondo it comes off and it goes back on.

Well I am calling this good enough. Next side. I don't think that it is perfect but it'll have to do

your going to have to splice your old one connector into the new one.

so prepare to cut some wires and fire up the old iron ;)

Great. I went back to check my completed control panel and two of my brand new buttons are stuck and another one is trying to stick. The lexan and how it lined up made a couple hard to get into the holes. I think that I need a file now. Someone told me that they were pinched... never heard of that

Sorry for being slow. This night shift I'm on is getting to me so I have been sleeping alot. Originally I wasn't going to strip this thing but with the full sideart it's the best option. It's coming off slowly with my heat gun.
