Pretty neat clip from the 1980's movie Nightmares. There are a couple arcade scenes that pretty much capture the arcade experience from back then.

Heh... only a couple times. :)

The part of the clip I remember more is having crowds of people behind you watching your every move. There were quiet a few games I remember that with. Dragon's Lair was the best because after you learned all the boards you could play it behind your back just using audible queues... I used to watch people watch the second screen they had on top of our DL.

Man, a lot of innocent machines died filming that, where are the preservationists to express their outrage (ala PETA) ;)

Sadly, Ripoff lasted but in the end it was knocked over. Tragic.

This is a 25 min clip. YouTube only let's me upload 15min clips. How do I get to upload longer then 15min clips on YouTube?

that's pretty cool. i wonder if they were riding the coattails of tron when they came up with that?

edit - the voice of the bishop in the game is james tolkan, who played principal strickland in the back to the future trilogy.

I remember renting this movie shortly after we got our first VCR back in '84! Fun little flick, it was an anthology-type deal, kinda similiar to "Creepshow"...

There are four wall mounted TVs in our game room, we have had 80's party's where we play this movie while we are in the arcade. There is enough music, arcade scenes, 80's cheese, and Emilo to keep everyone laughing.
