Hi all,
My partner and I have rescued this 2009 machine from an abandoned arcade.

Powering on, the PC boots and starts windows, then attempts to start the game. It appears to be checking "ACIO", "Security" and "eAmusement".

At the ACIO stage we get a few dotted lines flashing, then "BAD", then the screen goes black and shows an error 5-1503-9000 "PCB is unusual".

Does anyone have any tips on what to try to get this old darling running again?

Check the 4A 5mm fuses on the 2 IO PCBs inside the cage. If one/both is blown that means that the LED wiring shorted out at some point. if you see any burn marks on the big IO board ("Alard") in the rows of SMD inductors near the big connectors or damaged transistors then the IO board might be junk and you'll pretty much have to find another board unless you're skilled at that sort of repair.

Either way, I wouldn't power it up again without disconnecting the panel or testing all the wiring to make sure it's properly sorted, and not before testing/repairing any damaged areas of the IO board.

I'm assuming you're not in USA?

Heya, thank you so much for your reply. By cage do you mean inside the PC in the cabinet?

All of the controls go into harnesses at the top of this PC box and I am assuming that the IO board is internal?

Ninja edit: I'm in New Zealand

Hey there, I opened up the case and checked fuses, both are fine. Both IO boards look immaculate. The PC does have a burnt component in one corner but I can't tell what it is. I've attached a bunch of photos of the components.

It would surprise me if it was the PC that was rooted given it starts embedded windows xp totally fine but maybe that's the case? Is the whole OS in the Hard Drive like a normal PC and then I can just replace the motherboard? Or will it be embedded in the motherboard?

Sorry for the 21 questions, just aware of the time difference - thank you so much for your help so far!!!
