The Best Week EVER!!! Galaga 88, Biederman test kit AND a Space Invaders Trimline

The past week was quite possibly the best week ever in terms of acquiring pieces for my collection. Last week I had a Biederman Design Labs test kit built for Capcom and an excellent condition Galaga 88 fall into my lap (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=212434 http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=212582)

This week thanks to a heads up from Tighe I snagged a second complete and semi working Taito SI Trimline. I had to spend 7 hours in my car on a Saturday afternoon to get it, but it was well worth it.

I picked up my first trimline last year and thanks to Nerdtendo have it in 'presentable' shape, but was still missing the coin door harness, coind bezels, and my monitor bezel was shotty. Not to mention not one of my 3 boardsets work correctly. That is 3 as in 3 complete 3 stacks. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=209921

The new cab is in solid shape and seems to have a board problem (yay). The previous owner thought it was a horizontal hold, but I am thinking board or PS. I am getting a static feedback and the image shakes worse than a hobo with the DT's.

I am hoping to take the best parts from each to build an uber Trimline. I am planning on taking the bezel from this one and having it scanned. It's in great shape and I would like to preserve the art for future owners. With the coin door harness in hand I am hoping to fabricate another.

I haven't decided what to do with the second one when I am done. I may sell it to another Trimline enthusiast, but more than likely I will install an SI Part II board set in there (if compatible).

If it's not compatible, then you might be able to build an adapter harness - the controls are the same and it's still single channel audio.

That's what I was thinking. I just wasn't sure about the player 2 flip since it was designed for cocktail tables.

I can't imagine it would be too difficult to rewire the harness/edge connector.

I've always like those particular cabs but have seen very few in my area...good find.

I had one lined up your way last year. Jumble Store in Palmerton (?) had one and we had a verbal agreement, he was going to deliver it and pick up some games and then sold it out from under me :( Funny thing is I had passed on this one because of the one from Jumble Store. I was stoked when it resurfaced.

Nice scores!!!! :)
Nice looking machines.
Love that Biederman Designs Jamma Tester! Looks like it has everything and then some built into it.

I love those trimline cabinets more and more every time I see them! Really both cabinets look pretty good, Although the one on the left is nicer, except for the control panel.
