I've been painstakingly fixing my basement.
Slowly transforming it form a dank hellhole into an underground chamber of awesome.
I put in a moisture-proof subfloor, cleaned, sealed and painted the walls, rebuilt the staircase and built a bar. I've got a few games down there, but mostly today I want to show off the bar. Specifically the bar top.
I built a 45 Degree L shaped bar.

I was originally going to paint the top with arcade themed items, but then I got an awesome idea. Why not cover it with nerd crap from when I was growing up? I put out a call to my local collectors group (Portland Arcade Collectors) and asked for help with any random crap they could give me that was gathering dust. Boy did they come through. I got so much stuff, I was able to cover the bar top and have enough left over to do the front of the bar as well as a couple of tables.
Here's how the top turned out.
Here are a couple of shots of when I finished gluing everything down:

I then poured an epoxy seal over the top of everything to get a nice smooth finish:

There are a few little spots I need to go over with another coat, but overall I am very pleased with how this turned out.
I won't be ready to show full on pics of the new space yet as I still have lots to do... but I will likely post a basement barcade thread with pics from start to finish when I am done.
Awesome.
