The Awesome Finds Thread

Pioneer laseractive system

I found this little gem @ the thrift store yesterday! brought it home last night, tested it out with my tron laserdisc and it works great. pretty good picture too.

the only thing was that it was missing the sega / turbo-grafx game pack and joysticks :( just the base unit.

anyone have any parts for this system??

I picked up 12 Dreamcast games for 12 dollars today. They're not the best titles, but I can't complain for $0.99 each. I also got 10-Yard Fight for $1.99.

Nabbed some old school computer items at a computer store closing...

Radio Shack DMP-132 printer with the 4 pin RS-232 cable for $8 ($39.99 - 80%)

And a spared, still sealed ribbon for it for 60 cents ($2.99 - 80%)

:)

Grabbed a complete in box Nintendo 64 this weekend, at a flea market in Northern Wisconsin. Came with an extra blue controller, and 4 games - MK 4, MK Trilogy, Gretsky's 3D hockey, and Perfect Dark. Console had the 4mb expansion pack installed too. :)

$5

NICE

Just picked up a Public Assistance 1980 board game and a nice boxed set of Rohrig tarot cards for 99 cents each at Savers.

Really been hit and miss at these places lately.

kinda random.... found this Nintendo stuff today on my lunch break. got it all for $27.50.

luckily, I was able to get the nes for 1/2 off. really strange since the nes system box was originally cut in half. there were also those 4 boxed games and a famicom convertor all jammed in the box.

it was a good day :)

its missing the manuals and one of the little clamps that goes on robs hand.

but it came with a nice rob, system, plugs and contorllers, 2 gyros, the piece to spin the gyros, and the red and blue button bracket thing too.

What did they charge for it? Around here I find plenty of good stuff, but usually the really obvious stuff like a Nintendo, they price like it is solid gold.

I got lucky today at lunch. Caught the Savers guy getting ready to price games before he put them out. Got all these for $16 total. All discs are basically mint and they have all the manuals too.

Nice score! Under normal circumstances, I would say that's a helluva deal, but after installing my mod chip last night, I can get that for about $1.50 in CDR's now :D

nice psone score!

re the rob set... It was a little on the high side (100 bucks)... but I never see this set ever anymore, so I had to buy it :)

it came with some other random games too, so im gonna sell the nes games to offset the price.

Had to run down to San Marcos to check on my brother's dogs and mom who was down there watching them but ended up in the hospital. :(

Bright side, on the way back I picked up a Commodore PET floppy drive setup, an IBM PCjr with a couple of sidecars on it, and a "dead" Apple II floppy drive.

The Goodwill Computerworks is very proud of some of this gear... but some of it was priced nicely. I overpaid for the jr, but needed some parts off of it for troubleshooting my setup.

I recently got a PSone 6.99 and a Sega Genesis 9.99 at my local Goodwill.
The PSone is untested yet as don't have the cables and the Genesis works flawlessly.

And yesterday I picked up 4 N64 games
WF attitude
F1 Pole Position 64
and a few others that I can remember the name of...

I need to go to goodwill more often.

Nice pulls! Mod that PSOne so you can play burned CD's. Great little system.

Yeah I would love to do that someday.

I forgot to mention I also picked up a working Sega Gamegear for $10 with Shinobi 2 in it. It works great, but it needs a cap kit I think because the sound is so low.
