The 2011 Post-CAX "Now I want a ___" Thread

Transporter really caught my attention. I love the artwork on that thing. The Xenon with the LEDs that was near it was freaking gorgeous. Props to whoever owns that one.

Hey, mrbill2084... I'm pretty sure I got my Xevious from you, a few years back.

Probably. I have sold 2 or 3 xevious over the years. Hope its been good for you.. The 1st xevious I found I passed along to a buddy of mine.. He is one of those 999990 guys..

If you have not done it, replace the big blue...

Awesome to meet you Jow! Playing paperboy with you and 720 with Jeff were definitely my highlights of the show. I hogged paperboy today and got a 131,620 on easy street. I lost a life and missed one delivery on that run. I'm so stoked to have room for games again because that one will come back!

Dude, sick. That's a great score. BTW - playing Paperboy this weekend has inspired me to get my controller fixed so I can play again. I played Paperboy so much a couple summers ago that I got a little burnt out on it and didn't really play it again until this weekend. Its fun as hell when you have someone else who is really good playing with you.

The first time I played Mad Planets was last year at CAX. The next time I played Mad Planets was at CAX this year. I want a Mad Planets.
I also need a Time Pilot and a Taxi or Diner pins.

I wouldn't say these are games that I would realistically want to own, but I'll look forward to playing/seeing them again for sure.

I played Zeke's Peak for the first time and got to 4. It's pretty addicting. I wish I could have played more, but there were a couple of people behind me and I didn't want to hog it. When I would come back, it was always being played.

Circus Charlie is very challenging and has a good variety of levels/difficulty. I found myself playing it on a number of occasions and I never got tired of it. I still don't know how someone scored over 300K on it. I was struggling to hit 30K.

Varkon is so intriguing and the visuals definitely suck you in. I can see why josie enjoys it so much.

Egret 29 is a candy cab that has a mechanism to switch from horizontal to vertical orientation. That in itself is awesome. It has a overhanging marquee that's lit up and the CP has cup holders. The Astro City with the tri-sync HD monitor was really cool too. Dolphin Blue (Metal Slug type game) is visually stunning.

I'll second the Space Dungeon. I had never heard of it....but I couldn't pull myself away. Later in the day it had issues though where it got stuck with tons of free lives and I couldn't figure out how to clear them so it wasn't really playable for a while there.

I want a place to get my trench coat cleaned and a hot bath.

I saw one of these Egret 29's at CAX and I had to have one. Now I have 2. lol
The monitors have a rotate mechanism that makes it really easy to rotate the monitor.
Also they have built-in cup holders! :)

Pretty sweet! Did you have to search far and wide for these? What does that bring your candy cab count to? 20? :D

One came from Los Angeles and the other from Boston, Massachusetts!
I had to pay shipping on them both which was crazy but these are very rare and the people I know that have them will never sell them. I had to have the glowing marquee replicated at a plexiglass shop. Other than that everything is original.

The candy cab count is almost double digits. lol

Nice but how do you get your feet under there. I'm loving my Noir clone.

I play mostly 15Khz standard resolution games so these cabs are great for what I do; But yeah your Noir looks sweet.

There is plenty of room for your feet under these cabs if the access door is closed.
