Thanks for the update, did you see any pins?
Golden Axe eh.. Dedicated?
All and all, not a bad auction. Prices were reasonable from a buyers perspective. 5-6 Mrs Pacs, a couple Galagas, Gaplus, a rough but working APB, STUN runner, and a very nice Bud Tapper. The Tapper went for $800. A Haunted House pinball, Pinbot, a couple Taxis.
I bought the Frogger for $250 and I'm letting it warm up from the drive home. The color is a little off and the cabinet needs cleaned, but overall a good machine. Had a good time!
Anyone keep track of what the pins went for? I've been thinking
about picking up my first pin in the spring.. hopefully when the
auctions start up again.
The auction will not be coming back next year at all
I missed a deal on a 60-1 Multi. It only went for $250 when the auctioneers split. He tried to keep the bids going, but no one was bidding on it at all. Probably should've got in on that. This is the second auction with them I've been to that has featured a good deal on the first item after the split. I scored a huge Coors Light neon for $65 at the Balt. auction because no one knew what was going on.
I wouldn't say you really missed it. It was one of those GIANT UGLY cabinets with a huge monitor, control panel, etc. It didn't go with the 60-in-1 classics theme at all, and I don't think there was any interest in it.
The auction didn't really have much stuff I was interested in... I was hoping for some Rush 2049s, Hydro Thunders, and then just some assorted cool games, but mostly had multicade hack jobs, and lots of mediocre stuff. Nothing seemed to be going super cheap (no $5 cabs), though nothing seemed to be going really expensive. I was really surprised at the Outrun 2 cabs that went for $250. I picked up the only Hydro Thunder there for $425, so I was happy, but now I need to find another to link it to. I was also hoping to find a nice, but kinda small Area 51, Police Trainer, or maybe some good fighting game, but most of them were really big, or ugly.

They don't have anything listed on their website, but they had fliers there today that listed something in Harrisburg for March. March 19th maybe? They don't have Baltimore listed for next year, but if I remember they always add those as the year goes on.
The pin prices were normal. The Haunted House went for less than $1000 ($800-$900). Some of the newer ones were in the $1500-$2500 range. I think the Simpsons Pinball Party went for above $3000. I didn't see what the Pinbot went for but it needed some work.

Hate to double post but.....
I found out that my Pennant Fever is a prototype. According to IPDB they only make a few of prototype models indicated by a green cabinet, green overlay, and different backglass artwork which mine fits all parts of the description. I know it doesn't add value in some people's mind but it feels cool I own something so little of were made.
i honestly think the multigames are runing these auctions. i picked up an outrun but i was really surprised at the gyruss right next to it with a shot monitor go for 150 when i just go one for 100 recently. all in all its always a shot in the dark but i was glad to see more retro games. sad to see tron didn't work properly thou.
