ThatGuy and Gregatron's Arcade Warehouse Sale; Coming Soon
ThatGuy (Paul Meadors) and Gregatron (Greg Elizondo) have come into an agreement to liquidate an amusement business whose sole owner passed away suddenly a few months back. The entire inventory has been left to his closest relative and they've entrusted us with this project. This is no doubt a huge project and we're happy to announce that we are letting our friends here on KLOV have a crack at said inventory before the general public. The games and parts are located in Fresno, CA and are at two different locations -- a warehouse and his now dormant house, a mere five minutes away. Here is our unofficial count of what we will be selling:
Around 125 arcade cabs in various working order. Most are newer games such as Street Fighter, NEO GEO, and Tekken. As far as classics go there's about 20 or so including a few Ms. Pacs and Galagas. We anticipate selling most cabs between $25-$100 depending on condition.
A few pinball machines from the 1990s on.
There is at least one crane machine.
Tons of parts including monitors (some brand new in never before open boxes), boards, chassis, buttons, CPOs, new coin mechs, replacement guns, control panels, etc. You name it and it's probably sitting on one of the shelves in the warehouse.
Greg and I have a 3 month plan to get rid of everything. Our first plan of action is to clean all machines as best as possible. Then we will diagnose each machine (working, non-working, complete, not complete) and then inventory them on a spreadsheet. It's going to be a lot of work. As of now, we are not offering shipping. We might later on when we're left with some small items -- but for sure we're not shipping any machines.
Once we have a completed list of inventory with prices and conditions we will post this list on the message board here on KLOV. There will also be a link to a Flickr account which will have pictures of all machines and parts. We anticipate having this list completed in two weeks but we might in one and will designate at least one entire weekend to open up the sale to KLOV members (and friends of KLOV members if you wish). We have set up an e-mail address to send your requests to which will be a first come first serve basis to claim all machines and parts. We are going to be as organized as possible, hoping to avoid any confusion. We will let you know the exact time and date when we'll post the list. We will be adding notes to this thread as we go along.
We are very excited about this project. As many of you know, Greg is a real smart cookie when it comes to fixing video arcade machine and has made my Star Wars cockpit monitor and Galaga monitor looking brand spankin' new. I'm just a schmuck who's crazy enough to pursue this deal and project. Thanks for reading and we look forward to meeting and working with the KLOV community.
